It’s been awhile since I’ve updated my profile and I think that everything I originally wrote still applies but sometimes you just need to re-phrase things. So please be patient with me as I try and explain the type of person I am and the type of person I’m looking for.

What a dilemma, I have to convince you of my sincerity, my character and the virtues I have to offer. As complex as we all should be I guess I’m better off considering this an impossible task. Did any of you find it as difficult? Please let me know I’d really enjoy talking to you about it, lol! Now back to the business at hand.

Let’s start with me; first off I am here on POF looking for a long-term relationship. However I’m not in a hurry, I want the friend that is missing from my life. I don’t believe in casual encounters I’ve had a few in my past and I was always left feeling empty. I guess I’m too much of a romantic to go down that path anymore. So yes I want to hang-out, date and if we are blessed to find that mix of chemistry and character that we are both longing for, then bring on the long-term. LOL!!

Let me fill in some of the boring facts before continuing. I’ve been divorced now for more than 4 yrs. I was married for 15 yrs and we were together for over 19 yrs. As hard as divorce is it didn’t leave me jaded against marriage or relationships. It only affirmed for me how wonderful and how much work it can take to make a long-term relationship work. God and my Ex blessed me with one son; he is 18 yrs old and lives with his mother more than me now, you can basically call me an empty nester now. I’d really enjoy sharing this new found freedom with someone special again, how about you? Now on the topic of kid's; I love children and I have plenty of room in my life and my heart for more. However I will not be creating anymore in my lifetime, so if you are looking to start a family I'm not for you.

Now some more about me; I love nature!! I have many interests that take me outdoors. Being outdoors is my Church; it’s where I pray, I find my peace of mind there, my balance, my center. I enjoy all the social possibilities that the city has to offer and I like to explore them as well so have no fear I don’t live in a tent. LOL!! However I’d be lying to you if I didn’t say I’m a country boy at heart. Now if you are looking for or appreciate someone with a sarcastic sense of humor? Look no further! I’m the king of the off the cuff one-liners (I took a poll) and I’ll leave you speechless, with no comeback. LOL!! Although I’ll probably hold off until I know you better. I’m a romantic to my core and I miss someone bringing that part of me out, sigh.. Do you think you could help?

I’m a very active guy. I play Racquetball or workout 4 to 5 day’s a week and I try to go out on a hike on the weekends when my schedule or finance’s permit. I’m no Adonis though, just a guy comfortable in his own skin. Just not so comfortable that he isn’t always trying to improve inside and out. Well if you are still reading this I better let you know what I’m looking for, right?

My match; should be someone that can go on a 5 mile day hike and enjoy it! If you don’t think you would or could then we probably wouldn’t be a good match. I’d hate to get out there and ask you are you having a good time? While you are laying on the ground gasping or limping the next day gee… that was fun honey! LOL!! There is no one type of look I like in a woman it’s all subjective. Please…. have a sense of humor!! I love laughing and I want to share those moments again when we laugh so hard our jaws hurt from smiling. I know I mentioned this earlier but its high on my list, LOL!! If you don’t wear a coat in the winter and you still complain or are surprised about it being cold or wet. We probably wouldn’t be a good match, I’ve found out these are the women/men that need counseling. LOL!! Hopefully you will be the type of lady that enjoys an evening cuddled up on the couch sharing a bottle of wine and watching the latest movie we rented. Maybe you would also indulge me by staying in on a rainy afternoon playing a game of cards (letting me win right?) sharing stories and never changing out of our sweats, LOL!!

I like all types of women and I have all kinds of faults so I don’t expect perfection in anyone and I hope it’s obvious you won’t find it here. However we might be just perfect for each other. If you take that chance, you will find someone sincere, romantic, someone that loves family and friends. Someone that wants to share his dreams and listens to yours, who knows maybe together we can make a few come true? God bless us all in our search!!

I really enjoy sharing a good meal, a glass of wine and listening to each others stories. Maybe choose a restaurant where we can walk around after dinner see a show or just enjoy the evening.
For those I've spent more time getting to know before we've met maybe a short hike or lunch date and an afternoon walking around Saturday Market or a picnic in the Rose Garden.
