There was a survey done a couple of years ago on what the greatest fears that we, as human beings have. Number 1 was public speaking and number 2 was death which means that at your own funeral you would rather be dead than having to deliver the eulogy.

OK, I'm under oath here so I cannot tell a lie. I'm a semi witty, borderline intelligent, courteous, decent, caring human being. A product of my parents, the kindest, gentlest people in the whole world. Scandinavian heritage. Would lay my cape down over a puddle for a fair maiden. That probably sounds like I'm dating myself but then again nobody else will date me. Hopeless romantic or rather more properly a hopeful romantic. A daughter in Barrie that I visit on a whim. Another daughter, a starving artiste on Gabriola Island B.C., Neatly trimmed beard, deep blue eyes, blond hair, albeit thinning a bit. 5' 10 1/32" tall ( I think I'm starting to shrink so I'm hanging on to every 32nd of an inch), 170 lbs. I'd like to think I'm presentable enough for that 1/60th of a photographic second that everyone in the world can look good in. Lived in Toronto/Burlington for 40 years so I know the area and get down pretty frequently to see friends.

Quite fit, play golf, although someday I will be enshrined in the World Golf Hall of Fame as the world's second worst golfer (there is a shepherd in Albania worse than I am), tennis, row my shell at the cottage (camp), hike, canoe, kayaking, cross country and downhill ski, have played softball/fastball/slow pitch, roller blading, biking, music (classical mainly (The Moldau, Karelia Suite...) but also The Chieftains, Cat Stevens (Morning is Broken), Simon and Garfunkel (The Boxer and The Sound of Silence), Eagles (Hotel California), Fleetwood Mac (Go Your Own Way and Tusk), Red Army, Riverdance, Supertramp, ABBA, Il Divo, Leonard Cohen (Hallelujah, Closing Time and I'm Your Man), Enya, Vangelis, Yanni, Diana Krall.....). I like to cook (make a mean Shrimp a la Diavola), insatiably curious, bonfires, Scrabble, travelled extensively on business, mind of my own, picnic by a babbling brook, sauna's, wine, walk hand in hand, fishing, home renovations, flea markets, gardening (a brown thumb, but hey I give it a shot although the dandelions I planted in the fall came up quite nicely this spring), sailing, drives in the country, lunch at a quaint inn. Right of centre politically although, to quote Leonard Cohen, I'm flexible.
