I don't believe that for a minute because for that to be true, you would have to find a way to perpetuate a single event random behavior. It is possible, however, that unlimited occurrences of random events would eventually produce a single desired effect. Take online dating, for example, sooner or later just the right woman at just the right point in time and in just the right mood and on just the right medication will say to herself: "Hey, I think I'd like to get to know this guy". It could happen.

I'm an old fashioned romantic that still believes in opening the door for a lady and giving flowers for no reason. I don't sweat the small stuff and hope you believe in the same philosophy. I'm always honest simply because I never put myself into a position to have to lie (of course, if you spend 50 bucks on a new dress, then yea....I'll probably say I like it even if I didn't, or maybe I'll just say "ummm..ummmmm...." without really saying one way or another....yea...the diplomatic approach is the best). Hmm, well, anyway. I also believe that a committed relationship means just that. Of course, we've all had those types of relationships that made us want to BE committed. I prefer to get to know someone through email or IM, then when it feels right, on the phone. By the time we meet chances are it won't really matter if we 'click' romantically or not, we would know each other well enough to just have some fun hanging out. This is why I won't do those so called "drive by dating" to see if there is any "chemistry". There's no way to see someone's inner beauty after only a few days. An analogy of this philosophy is like trying to find your old chemistry set in the attic of the house you grew up in. You may not want to climb those old stairs at first, and you may only have a candle to see by, but if you look hard enough and long enough, you'll find it again. And when you bring it downstairs and start to play around with it again after all these years, you'll feel like a kid again (until you blow the house up).

I don't participate in casual sex (anymore). One thing I can testify to is that the older I get the more well defined my moral character has become. I guess that happens to all of us (like how many 77 year old women are doing 'one night stands'? lol). Anyway, by the time things get that far, then the foundation of a friendship will have already been established somewhat. Now wouldn't that make the first "date" much more fun? To borrow a line from a woman's profile I read once: "I don't want to sleep with you until I can't sleep without you." I believe that when it comes our own "Holy Grail" that each of us forever strives for, the best things in life come to those who wait.
