I am divorced (previously twice married with 3 grown children and 2 teen girls who live with their Mom. I often refer to myself as "retired", simply because I no longer practice law which was my principal career until I took early retirement in 1995 and moved permanently to Naples. However, I have full days on a continuous basis, often on and in the water--boating, commercial and recreational fishing, swimming/snorkeling, engaging in marine biology as volunteer, as well as involvement in several projects and activities that collectively constitute second "mini-careers" of sorts, but for the most part on my own terms; I am a former 3-letter athlete at University of Michigan and Brooklyn College, as undergrad, a Northwestern Law school graduate. I have travelled the world extensively for business and pleasure and have been involved in much archeological exploration.I presently have an academic tutoring company and also provide tutoring for disvantaged students. I enjoy travel--from spontaneous last minute "road trips" to international travel. I into "extreme sports" before, as my older kids have quipped, the term was coined,and have a few minor deficits, reflecting same, followed upon, by a near fatal motor vehicle accident in 1998, precluding certain extreme physical activities on terra firma, while still I still engage in substantial strenuous physical activities on and in the water and otherwise. However, in the interest of full disclosure, my racing and dancing days are over as I generally now walk with a cane due to a balance issue. I love the ocean and presently live overlooking the Gulf between Sanibel/Fort Myers Beach. Since I travel at will and as other matters dictate, I spend a great deal of time throughout the State, and well beyond. While, other than during my marriages, I have dated frequently, in honesty, perhaps excessively, since my 2005 separation and divorce filing I have dated with decreasing frequency. In addition, I use this site very sparingly and selectively. While I enjoy meeting new people, I have enough women "friends", "acquaintances" at this time and "would-be" or "could-be" lovers,past and present,and in presently reordering my life, I ultimately seek, though not desperately, the "last love of my life". Ideally, I would like a relationship structured upon mutual respect and an understanding of a need for a degree of independence, with no predetermined "rules", other than monogamy and a caring, kind and considerate relationship. While I have no strong desire to marry again, such is not out of the question under appropriate circumstances. I have virtually unflagging loyalty. and I am very protective of any woman, regardless of the nature of the relationship, with whom I have a significant connection. In closing, with some immodesty, I would submit tht I am a most responsible man who is youthful in attitude, appearance and objectives, notwithstanding a very rich, active, adventurous, and adventuresome life.

Anything but sitting blank-faced across from someone who is what I have now termed a "collector" or "serial-dater"--that is a woman who simply dates as frquently as possible--and not necessarily on any particular level of intimacy, emotionally, intellectually, conversationally, physically, or otherwise (irrespective of whether the evening ends up in bed or with a quick goodnight handshake).
