Hello all,

Well after giving Alberta a try for a few months, I've decided to return to the land of sun, mountains and the ocean. Yes, I am back in the Greater Vancouver area and have never been happier.

I still have to settle myself, mainly deciding which company offer to accept and find a place to live. I am thinking that the Ladner/Tsawwassen area might be nice. Close to the city and yet still rural enough to be open. Plus it’s close to the ferry terminal for those quick trips to Victoria or Nanaimo.

I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, nor could I be considered to be a buff beefcake he-man boy toy. Nope, I am basically your average guy, nothing overly spectacular or fascinating about me. Tall, a tad bit overweight with an odd sense of humour. I’m a professional or at least that is when my diploma tells me and I work in an industry that can demand long hours at time.

I’m not married, never have been and have no kids that I am aware of. I love to read and have a deep interest in politics and the various issues of today. I love to debate or argue these things and some would probably find me intelligent if a bit (or a lot) opinionated.

I have had a life long interest in Asian languages, culture, food and people. I even learned to speak Japanese when I was younger before it was considered cool. Sadly, I have forgotten most of from the lack of use. I tried learning Mandarin, but found I just could not wrap my tongue around the vocal sounds and had a hard time differentiating between the four tones. This could also explain why my singing is considered by most to be a crime against humanity.

What I am seeking is someone to first be a friend and go from there. Ideally I would love to meet a woman who knows how to cook Asian style noodles. If you can do that, then you are more then half way to capturing my heart.

Please drop me a note if I struck a cord and let’s see what develops.

PS: I really really really hate having my picture taken. I one I have here is about 18 months old and I haven’t changed all that much…….I think…..

What would I do on our first date? Well being somewhat romantic and wishing to impress you no end, it would have to be something spectacular wouldn’t it?

How does this sound? I would pick you up in my car and present you not with a bouquet of roses, but rather a nice pair of cover alls and then whisk you away to a little airfield I know. There we would embark on to my pretty little Murphy Renegade advanced ultra light biplane with an open co/ckpit. Hence the need for the cover alls, they make great flight suits. And we would fly off to the mountains to land in a secluded field by a remote lake for a quiet romantic picnic for two. After which we would stroll about the lake getting to know each other, and maybe share our first kiss. Then just before dusk, we would fly back to the city and go for dinner complete with wine and roses…..

Of course this presupposes a few things.

One: I will complete my flight training before we meet and rack up the needed solo hours required to upgrade my UL license so I can actually take up a passenger.

Two: I will actually be able to suddenly afford said Murphy Renegade before meeting you.

And Three: and this is the biggie, you are actually mad enough to go out on a first date such at this.

Guess it is time to get back to reality eh? I think you can’t really plan a generic first date, so lets see what appeals to both of us, I am open to most suggestion as long as they don’t require me jumping out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft or has anything remotely to do with bungie cord and great heights. Flying is one thing…..jumping off bridges with an elastic band wrapped around your ankle is another thing…..
