I did a really dumb thing, I thought I'd search some male profiles to get some ideas on what to say, but I was totally shocked... is it a pre-requisite to post a picture with your shirt off? Or holding a fire arm? Or an alcoholic beverage? I feel so out of place now. What the heck do I have to offer?

Seriously though, let's get to the meat of it, like who AM I for Pete's sake? (And more importantly, who is Pete?) Single and never married with no kids into my mid-30s, I'm weird I guess. I consider myself fairly mature, so it's not like I was holding onto some juvenile college party days or something. I think I happened to fall for really crazy chicks who scared me a bit and I wanted to enjoy a period of freedom and independence in my life.

The downside is, you enjoy all that freedom and then end up on the other side of 30 still looking for something stable to hold onto. I have the job, friends, family, but would be nice to have someone who kinda makes all the crap worth it, who smiles when they see me, and vice versa. I'm not cryin' about it, but it's odd when you're single and all your friends are popping out babies. (Or friends' wives, as the case may be.)

Nonetheless, I'd still rather wait for someone kind and intelligent, who hopefully has a quirk or two that she's not afraid to show. We all have our own freak flag, might as well fly it every now and then.

Oh, and she'd have to be okay that I don't own a fire arm or pose frequently without a shirt.

I'm pretty laid back, so it doesn't feel like a job interview, I promise.
