**UPDATE** 12/29/08 I am very allergic to cats...


While I do enjoy going out now and then, I'd much rather be at my home or yours, spending quality time together. The most valuable and precious gifts I have ever received were the gifts of time. Do you want to get and keep my attention? Your attention gets mine. :)

The man that would be compatible with me would be one that would be open to sharing his life with me and letting me share mine with him. Not taking away from, but adding to each other’s, realizing the happiness in my life and wanting to be a part of it.

We’ll both know when we find each other; so while I’m not looking to date per se, I am open to being comfortable to enjoying someone else’s company. Open to explore the possibilities and let things happen without having any agenda. I only ask that you be honest in your representation of yourself. What you have read here doesn't begin to scratch the surface of who I am or what I have to offer.

Also, you know how when you first talk to or meet someone, and you are both on your best behaviour? Well, I don't have a "best behaviour" setting. What you see and hear is what you get. It's just that simple.

If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”

It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.
