Here's to finding that special someone, that one person that encompasses friend, companion, and soul mate...

Working full time and being a full-time student doesn't leave much time for random bar and/or club-hopping. Plus, to be honest, I can't seem to find the type of person I'd like to spend time with, working on developing a relationship, at these places. That's why I'm holding out hope that I might run into someone interesting on here.

Character traits I admire:
* A strong sense of faith and family
* Someone that's honest, capable of compassion and sympathy
* A sense of confidence and direction in their own life
* Someone that knows how to enjoy life
* An open mind, a sense of adventure or exploration if you will
* Someone that has their own opinions, but is capable of respecting those of others

About me? I like to think of myself as being a gentleman at heart. Thankfully, my parents raised me with the importance of treating a lady with a proper level of respect. As for looks, I'm a bigger guy, built more like a linebacker than the quarterback (bonus points for getting the reference), so if that doesn't sit well, it's a good thing there are plenty of other fish in the sea.

I like to think that I'm an easy-going kind of guy. I can appreciate a quiet night at home as much as a planned weekend outing to someplace special. However, nothing beats hopping in the car and just driving - you never know what you'll find in the most unexpected places!

I also like to see myself as a sort of renaissance man. I'm fascinated by, and try to keep up on, everything from world events to the latest technological trends to sports. I can hold my own just as well in a deep, philosophical conversation as I can in a battle of one-liners.

One of my passions is music, so if you're a music lover, that's all the better. While I have very eclectic tastes in all things (music, books, movies, etc...), I tend to be selective at times when I delve into the unknown. Oh, and I suppose I should give fair warning - I have a great sense of humor, one that tends to veer into a snarky, sarcastic side...

We all know that first dates are some of the most awkward situations known to man. Rather than stress and over-plan, it needs to be fluid. Maybe start off at a nice coffee shop, grab a bite somewhere, or meet up for a drink, someplace where we can talk. From there, leave it up to fate - if we click, we can figure it out from there.
