What is there to say about myself? Well, I suppose the beginning would be a good place to start, but that would take far more than I am willing to write. Either you would become entranced in my thoughts of who I think I am, and then become disillusioned to the person I actually am, or you will be repulsed by my ramblings, and move on from this awkward profile without giving it a second thought. (That being said, sit back, this is definitely on the long side. Mainly because I never take anything out.)

Every picture on here is at least a year and a half old. Yes my hair was green. then red, then orange, then purple. then a weird pinkey colour, etc. I fully believe that my natural hair colour should have been green. The heavy dye jobs have been put on hold for a while, in favour of growing it out instead of having it fall off. It is currently brown with red bits and past my shoulders.

"Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm." This is my general outlook on life. I tend to bounce around a lot with different ideas, which tend to fail for one reason or another. Most of them involve getting myself out of Southern Ontario. These failures have so far included the idea of going to Dawson City to work for the summer, and trying to go to Ireland on exchange with school. All my plans in search of the interesting and exciting have failed thus far, but who knows what the future may bring? Next big plans include trying to live in Finland for a year before I'm 30, and going to England next year to visit my sister while she's there for school.

My musical tastes tend to vary between metal (the best stuff is coming out of Finland these days, just as a personal opinion) electronic, and then a straight jump over to folk music. While I can listen to most music, my personal tastes seem to jump over rap, hiphop, country and pop music almost entirely. What I enjoy listening to usually goes through general phases.

I am an archaeology student at Laurier University. This means that yes I am going to school to go dig holes and play in the dirt all day. The world is my sandbox and there's some pretty cool stuff buried there. While I may have to take a 'real' job from time to time, I fully believe that a bad day out digging is still better than a good day I have to wear dress shoes, and it's almost unnatural to come home from work without dirt in my socks and grime under my nails.

In truth, I think all archaeologists, are just those of us who wanted to be pirates when we were younger, and never really grew out of it. We're all out on a search for buried treasure, but the treasure has changed from gold and jewels, we don't keep what we find, and very rarely do we find ourselves anywhere near a boat.

I am a nerd in almost every aspect of my life. I'm on the executive for Laurier's gaming club. D&D and zombie survival games take up a fair bit of my time during the school year.

I'm also pretty much obsessed with vampires and zombies.(I hate Twilight though) I tend to find my way to worm them in to my papers and courses of study. (Ever try and swing a paper on the existence of vampires within ancient Mesopotamian art and myth?)

I also participate in a medieval history group, called the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA for short). I get to dress up in medieval clothing, eat, dance, listen to people sing (as my own singing voice is somewhat pathetic), do archery, watch the fighting and fencing, and have a wonderful time escaping the real world, with a group of wonderful people, whom some have become more important and close to me than some of my real family members.
Lately, I've gotten the chance to help with a reproduction iron smelt, and viking glass bead furnaces.

I'm currently a blue belt in taekwondo, and eventually hope to study other forms of martial arts as well.

I am a Christian, but have a strong belief in allowing people to live in the truths that they have chosen to follow for themselves. I enjoy discussion, and learning about people's own personal view of God and the supernatural or unknown.
I also have pretty much given up on the idea of dating most Christian guys, because it never works out all that well.

Most of my fashion sense can be described as being somewhere within the realm of goth. Black and purple are my colours of choice, with a preference for multiple layers of long skirts, or extremely wide pants, featuring lots of metal bits or reflective paint.

I cook weird food. Some people like it, others, claim I'm trying to poison them. Chances are, you won't like it. (peanut butter, jam and black bean stir fry anyone?) I've found that lately I've become mostly a what I call 'economic vegetarian' because meat is expensive and takes long to cook, while eggs are fast and comparatively cheap.
I'm good at baking though, and my cookies have gotten me declarations of love, and a joking marriage proposal. I've also been expanding my skills to include pies, squares, and a few different kinds of bread.

I bought myself a bodhran a year or so ago. I still completely suck at it, so for the time being I'm enjoying just goofing off and making noise.

I suppose I should talk about my general personality. It tends to jump around a bit. I tend to stutter, and some days, it's worse than on others, so I can go from being long-winded and rambling, to other days when I'll barely say anything at all. Similarly, I'll have days where I really feel the need to go out and do SOMETHING otherwise I'll go stir crazy, and there are days when the only thing I want to do is to curl up and read a book or watch a movie. I can be sweet and caring. I can be like a nagging mother. I can be in a cruel and vicious mood, where the last thing I want is to be around anyone. I can be quiet and calm and collected, though rarely ever graceful. I can seem old and beyond ages. My roommates have decided that when I'm hyper I'm eternally six. I've been described as a 'little black raincloud of happiness'. Take that as you will.

I am me, and I suppose you'll just have to talk to me, if you want to find out exactly what that is.

I have no clue. Personally, I like coffee, or walking, or maybe a combination of both. Something neutral, yet pleasant, and can make any awkward pauses in conversation (if/when they shall occur), less like awkward pauses, and more like comfortable periods of silence.

Or if there's something more exciting or active, I'm always open to suggestions.
