I`d like to meet new people, hang out with them, see what they're about and perhaps see if there`s potential for something meaningful. That includes being my friend.

I’m open minded. My personality is such that in general I take life lightly but can also be serious and focused about certain things like fitness, career and close relationships ( i.e. don’t take them for granted). Laughing is wonderful for the soul and a great way to connect so I’m hoping to meet someone who can also make me laugh, in addition to sweeping me off my feet a little! Romance is not dead for me. Even though I consider myself to be a fairly independent woman, I still enjoy and appreciate manly and thoughtful gestures. For example, even though I can carry my bike up a large set of stairs myself I get little warm fuzzies if you offer to do it for me. Ok, that’s a really cheesy example! And it would really be great if you have a dog and/or are a whiz in the kitchen!

I've a degree in chemistry and I'm now working on another. I don't give in to failure. I just want to do better or find another solution. My health means a lot to me so I try to take care of myself by eating good stuff (although there's always space for ice-cream!) and getting some exercise most days (I try to do something everyday). I like to run but am trying to get more biking and swimming in there so hopefully you like some of that too. Hey, and I'm quite open to trying out other activities that you are into though I have to draw the line at skydiving or trying out any Fear Factor stunts that may have you inspired.

I like intelligent, fun, confident men who play well with others, who are of strong mind and character in addition to being in touch with their feelings (sniff! lol). I`m looking for someone who is happy with where they are going in life, or is taking steps to get there. I love the outdoors and if you don't, it will never work. Throw in a curious nature and a sense of humour and you're after my own heart!

One catch...Currently I am pursuing a Master's Degree on a part-time basis, in addition to my day job. So I will be a bit busy for a few years. Ok, so that probably weeds out about 97% of those reading my profile! :( Not the best way to start off a special friendship. But, I can make some time for fun and balance in my life. Sheesh! With all that work a girl needs to get out/chillax sometimes, else she goes bonkers!! :)
