I am a secretary for the psychology training clinic at Wayne State University. I am also a student at the same university completing a bachelor's degree in anthropology and I hope to continue on for a master's degree in archaeology. I took a class which was a fieldschool in urban archaeology working at a historic site in Corktown, after the fieldschool we are cleaned, catalogued, and stored all of the artifacts for further study. I wrote a grant and completed a research project. It was a comprehensive analysis of the ceramics for the site we excavated in Corktown and then I did an oral presentation at the Honor's Conference. I continued to volunteer and work at the site for two more fieldschools, and then did in the lab processing of artifacts. Last year I wrote another small grant to do the preliminary evaluation for possible future excavations in an area of Detroit called Black Bottom and Paradise Valley. I am hoping in the near future once my current project is complete to get this project funded through local grants to continue doing reseach in historic archaeology in the City of Detroit.

I am a movie junkie and love to go to the show or rent and view them at home. I like all kinds of movies; adventure, drama, comedy, scifi, animation, foreign, etc. I also enjoy going to concerts, the theater, art galleries, museums, coffeehouses, farmer and flea markets, etc. I am an artist for fun. I enjoy sketching in pencil, doing pen and ink drawings, and watercolors. I also write short stories and some poetry, mostly science fiction/fantasy. I love all kinds of music, except heavy metal, rap and really twangy country.

I belong to the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) and enjoy going to local and regional events such as Coronations, Crown Tournaments, and the Pennsic War. I also enjoy going to Renaissance/Medieval Festivals/Faires with my sister and friends. You got love the smoked turkey legs.....huzzah!!!
