Gypsy's back in town!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to do the traditional "my friends all say I look/act younger than my age". I am 56 and damn proud of it, and I look 56. Why do we all try to present ourselves as something that we are not???? I like what I see in the mirror. I lost my husband 7 years ago, and have found it's hard to replace him. I don't cry because that part of my life is gone now, but smile and laugh because I was fortunate to have found that particular person at that point in time. I've realized that the more precisely you plan, the harder destiny will hit you.... and that love doesn't require that two people look at each other, but that they look together in the same direction. I was born and raised in the mountains of PA, and have been fortunate enough to have spent most of my life on the "outskirts" of town. Don't mind working in the city, just don't want to live there. I will always be a country girl at heart.

I like all the traditional internet dating things, long walks on the beach, moonlight, yada, yada, yada. I do like to fish, ride on the back of a bike (don't want to drive one, would forget to put my feet down), watch the sunset and the full moon rise over the ocean, have a great sense of humor and see it in everyday life. My greatest wish is to be able to one day ride in a fighter jet, just to feel the rush of the power, and the strength of the elements of nature... but I am neither important enough, or rich enough to be able to experience it physically... but in my mind I can fly where ever I want to go. Life is a drawing, without an eraser.... I want to become acquainted with many different people in the course of my life, so that when I meet the right ones, I can appreciate and be grateful for their presence.

Laughter is the best medicine and music is very important to me. I am spontaneous, as I feel the best things happen when you least expect them. I've found the greatest events aren't always the loudest, but happen in the quietest of times. I have realized that everyone sees how you "seem" to be, but only the rare few know who you really are. I'm a bit of a "home-body", but love to go dancing once in a while. Not really much of a bar person, would rather go watch the moon rise over the ocean and explore the area. Moved here about 3 years ago from the west coast of Florida, and am still amazed at all there is to see.

I have no intention of marrying you to get your green card, and if you drink a six-pack or a bottle of liquor daily, please move on. If we cannot carry on an intelligent conversation over the phone, then it makes no sense to waste your time and mine. I can afford to buy my own dinner, so not interested in a "free ride". I am a very mellow person, but can be the life of the party if I feel at ease in my surroundings. I reiterate: laughter and music are very important to me and the gypsy in my blood begs me to travel to exotic places. Not looking for an instant relationship, but if one develops, I am a one-man woman. I want to be the one who takes your hand, and touches your heart as a true friend.

I'm an excellent cook, can filet what I catch as well as load the boat on the trailer. Just tired of doing it all alone. And, yes, I am a natural redhead....

Bi-polars, alcoholics, and drug addicts need not apply. Your application will be shredded. Temper tantrums are not tolerated. Life is much too short to not be ecstatic. Men with so much excess baggage over their ex's that they compare every woman they meet to the one who "screwed" them need not bother... I am not your psychiatrist. Get over it. Reminiscing is wonderful, dwelling on the past and using it to compare to others is self-deprecating.

Lobster diving in the keys. Sit in front of the fireplace and talk. Watch the lightning storm explode over the ocean. Bungee jump off a bridge. Go to the zoo. Go to watch an obscure blues band somewhere local. Wander the streets of downtown historic Fernandina Beach or St. Augustine. Blow bubbles off the top of the historic courthouse tower downtown Fernandina Beach. Go sailing. Drag race in Gainesville (I get to drive my '55... she kicks when you least expect it), or maybe some little "quick 8" track in Georgia, Alabama or Tennessee. I'm open to suggestions.....
