| | In a nutshell: older female college student looking for some stimulating and witty conversation and general on-line social merriment. Oh, and if you think you will like/dislike me based on my sign of Leo, think again. I have been told that I am pretty un-Leo-like. This is assuming you actually even care about this sort of thing.
Likes: my interests vary widely and it is almost impossible to predict what will appeal to me. I like to study all things scientific and philosophical, from astronomy and physics to ethics and psychology. Weapons, like knives and rifles make me drool and excite me. I have dabbled in knife-throwing before, but now I hope to learn to master target-shooting.
I also enjoy cooking, especially ethnic and regional foods. Current fashions bore me, I adore gothic couture: corsets, velvet and satin, lace-up boots, etc...although everyday I opt for the usual pretty top with a basic skirt combo. I can have fun dancing it up at clubs or spending an evening with friends, some good wine, and story-telling.
Other tidbits: I like cats and well-behaved dogs, and have a special place in my heart for skunks. If I was an animal I would be a fox. My favorite number is 47. A hobby of mine is tatting (making lace by hand using nothing but a length of thread and a flat spool called a shuttle). I attended four different high schools. I am an only child, somewhat introverted, from a divorced family, but have been lucky enough to have married my high school sweetheart who I have been with for the last decade. I am an army wife. Bless our troops!
Dislikes: for my dislikes I will be more succinct. I am annoyed by: drama queens, attention-whores, misery chicks, pop music, picky-eaters, "riced-out" cars, gossips, elitism, movies that sell sex and little else, bad manners, parents who "befriend" their kids, and people with a twisted sense of entitlement.
