Hello, and thanks to all those ladies who read my profile and sent me a 'hello' or added me to their favorites lists. I've changed my 'I am seeking a woman for' to 'Talk/E-mail' as I've found a rather exceptional sweet woman. We have been dating for quite some time now and she is more than worth the long commute (Would you believe England). Still like to talk/e-mail to interesting people though so I hope there are still a few who are looking for just and nothing more. It's a real curse being such a boyscout, but what can you do? -And so lovely women out there too . Ah well, I'll leave the rest of the profile as it was for any of those who would like to chat to get to know a little about me. Last, a very special thanks to the ladies who have kept me and even added me as a favorite since I have found my London lady. I am honored more than you know that something I've written has touched you. (Do let me know what it was as I haven't a clue.)

Here I am, somewhere between 5'9" to 5'10", brown hair, brown eyes, more than a few extra pounds but not big and tall either. The weight is coming along nicely though this last bit is a real bear. I'd like any friend I make to be the sort of woman who will help keep this process moving along. I'm not completely soft in that 5 mile walks, 20 mile bike rides or 3km in the pool (slooowly due to poor technique) come pretty easily. Rough around the edges at times, but some kind ladies have said I clean up pretty well when I'm in jacket and tie. I do open doors for women and I’ve been known to pull out a chair or two. As for the 'non-religious' above, read that as 'spiritual but non-religious'. I believe in God but can't for the life of me figure out who's got it right. As for looking so serious, well come on... When you know someone is taking your picture? The motorcycle pic I make no apologies for. I lusted for one for 3 years since I rode one in Europe, lol.

'Looking for friends' doesn't say it very well, and I have no idea what 'other relationships' means. I'm looking for a nice fun loving woman of ANY ethnicity or culture (I love differences); intelligent, witty, sassy, a little wild, a little soft, tolerant and laid back, but able to dig her heels in and get in your face when her world isn't treating her right. I would love her to have a well defined sense of wonder and curiousity as curiousity defines me. I want someone I can explore with, anything and anywhere within our means. This means you have to help out too, at least a little. Come on, be honest. At our age that's only fair, and as the bumper sticker says, 'A man is not a financial plan'. (I saw that one just the other day and I LOVE it.) I'm looking for friends, but always open for someone very special. The latter doesn't have to happen as friends are always good. I want to do things with this person. 'Things' meaning something active, even if just a walk through the mall or DC museum. Better are hikes where there's some scenery, bicycling the rail trails or a swim at the club. Better yet is a day at the beach, and God bless the woman who would travel and go scuba diving or snorkeling with me. I like music of almost any kind and will do concerts from heavy metal and blues to jazz and classical. Did I hint that I like to travel? If you have the time and means, I'd certainly like to have a friendly female face to share some adventures with. The UK, Europe and certainly any places with pristine waters and beaches are great. In a perfect world I see an exoticly accented curvy pretty thing 10 years or so my junior, his and her motorcycles carrying scuba gear cruising down lightly traveled European roads along the Med. I dream good or what? Having said all that, if you are looking for only for a friend to just chat with via e-mail, IM's, phone or face-to-face over coffee or dinner, that is also fine. As I said, friends are good.

One last thing that probably should have been put first... Ladies, I pretty much come with a guarantee: I'm neither the jealous or the controlling sort. I'm old enough to have been through a bit as I'm sure many of you have. We all have the right to seek the best relationships we can and not go through hell if we choose to end the ones that are not what we hoped for. I'm a good guy. I have not, and will not, give any nice woman who has shown an interest in me a hard time if she chooses to move on. Some time ago, a very special woman gave me the compliment I treasure the most, 'I feel safe with you'. It touched me deeply that she recognized that side of me.

And, for all of you who are into quotes, how about this one? 'All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.' I know, I know.... common and overly quoted to be sure, but think about it. Please. Lots. And have a nice day, lol.

The first date is ladies choice, whatever is in their comfort zone or interests. A walk about the neighborhood or mall, a simple sit-down at a coffee shop, or dinner and a movie are all fine.
