favorite hot spots:I spent 6 yrs living in a national forest at 7,500ft.
resided 2 1/2 yrs at a university at 7,000 ft in the worlds largest free-standing ponderosa forest,,, so I like the outdoors and nature.... Can be found often hiking in the local hills, bike riding trails and back roads of the county and east bay.
favorite things:I am an information junkie and need daily input; my fix, I watch national news. Watch little TV but, the 3 CSI, Numbers, Without a Trace NCSI, Criminal Minds and the news are a must watch

I am a very active hiker and bike rider(see a pattern here?). I enjoy photography and have stacks of slides, prints and videos of my travels and adventures. I am very much an outdoors type.
Hobbies beyound photography include the physical sciences(geology, astronomy, meteorology/et al...) I collect ball caps, T-shirts, license plates, wine, money.
Musical taste I enjoy mostly easy listening mellow music, love ballads, lt jazz, older groups like EAGLES, FLEETWOOD MAC, AMERICA, BREAD, SANTANA. The heaviest stuff I listened to when younger was PINK FLOYD, some LED ZEPPELIN. My CD carousel currently has new age and world music. Do not like country/rap/opera. I have an ear for the classics as this is what dad played at home.
For whom do I search:I long to be fully connected with a true and non-game playing lady who has the ability to let go in complete love, bonding and connectedness. I am tired of girls who send us to websites. I want a real woman and not some girl who exposes her body parts on the internet. I search for the one who will carry on intelligent adult conversations. Who will challenge me in my thoughts and deeds. Who will respect who I am, where I have been and my accomplishments. One who will accept me for my difference and realize no-one is ever perfect in mind and body. I search for the one who can think outside the box, who is not guided by the norms of society.
I find myself attracted to success. Women who are strong personalities( no wall flowers or clinging vines). Someone with gumption and fortitude. You don't take guff from anyone and stand up for your personal beliefs. I am attracted to a woman who has integrity, who is honest, educated,(as long as you have been to college. If U have a PHD, am not going to be intimidated) outgoing, intelligent, (capable of conducting intelligent adult conversations) physically & mentally active, who aspires to do and be more. A lady who takes care of herself with an active and healthy lifestyle.
WHAT I would like:I have been alone long enough and as yourself grow older faster than before. I miss that connectedness that can only come when two people spend quantities of time together, watching, learning, sharing in each others lives.
I will prefer to eventually have a long term committed relationship;
A relationship that will take two people. You and I, both unique in our own ways but, with enough common elements to start a FIRE! A relationship being a blending of an equal partnership with plenty of quality time together. We will also have our own time and space. Life, adventures, and struggles will be shared.
