About Me
Have a seat! Comfortable? Good, let me introduce myself to you then... I am going to attach a picture, to simplify things a bit. No need for surprises. You can judge for yourself. To help you get an idea of the kind of person I am, I will try something a little different. Here it goes...
If you were to look around my place, you would find..... different spices in the kitchen (because I like to cook, watches in the master bedroom (I don’t wear jewelry, with the exception of watches, which I collect), and pictures of family and friends throughout the house(self explanatory).
I am happiest when I am laying on my hammock under the oak tree, reading a book or sharing a conversation with someone special.
I have a home in the country with a metal roof. The metal roof creates the most tranquil atmosphere when it’s raining. The sitting hammock on the porch is a nice place to enjoy this tranquility.
I like to ride bikes. I have a sweet caring 5 year old daughter who gets along with everybody. She and I enjoy riding bikes with others. I also enjoy riding ATV's and motorcycles in the woods around the house. She is my little ball of sunshine.
There is this little European Bistro near my house, which has the greatest atmosphere. Its one of my favorites, because it’s just simple & friendly. Sitting in the Bistro is like sitting beach side on the Mediterranean, kinda, sorta. Beam me up Scotty.
I also enjoy the multiplicity of Downtown New Orleans, which is just a short 2 hour drive from where I live. I enjoy getting away to listen to Jazz Music, eat Beignets at Cafe du Monde', and walking around the French Market. There is always something attractively fascinating to be seen or done in New Orleans. Of course, New Orleans has an occasionally less tasteful side to it, but I can admit that I never get bored with it. I really like to travel and will be taking my first Train Trip soon.
My least favorite words are "try", "conversate", "whatever", "like".
The word "Try", is too often used as a means of pre-excusing failure.
Conversate - Besides the fact that it isn't a word, it may have possibly evolved as a hybrid of the two words "conversation" and "converse".
Whatever - This is not the answer to all questions and is too broadly used by females to express how you feel or don't feel about something.
Like - A meaningless word used in teen-age American speech which may indicate, among other things a gap in thinking or brain functioning; a contemporary equivalent of "uh" or "um".
The most recent books that I have read were, "A Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren and "Social Intelligence" by Daniel Coleman.
Before I forget, I do not drink or use drugs. I do not date anyone who uses drugs, however I have and do date those who have an occasional drink.
Well, enough about me, drop me a line and tell me a little bit about yourself!
First Date
Although sitting across the table from someone with a beautiful smile at small table on a roof-top terrace overlooking the city would be a great start, its not a one size fit all thing. I think that it is more important to get to know someone through chatting a little bit before making this decision.
