i am a happy person , at heart, i am sure there are people that would disagree with me, but such is life, i enjoy the ocean and everything about it, being in it, (i swim alot, distance) sailing on it, and just watching it, it gives me energy, and heals me, always has, i also like to grow things, garden i guess, and love to travel, and see new things, and learn about other cultures, life is a wonderful thing, and we were not put here to be unhappy, atleast not most of the time, and if you are unhappy you should leave, you not doing anything good for each other, my opinion. I think we focus to much on what we have to do, what we have planned, and we do not just enjoy what is happening around us, while we are thinking about how wonderful things are going to be down the road, life is happening while the moments pass.

i think i would ask the person what they wanted to do, first before i imposed my wants, and if i was doing the picking, i might just go to the ocean, and take a bottle of wine, and enjoy the sunset and than go to a nice quiet place for dinner, i really don't like to plan things out, i just like to let things happen, for me it is better, and nature.
