The world is full of people, but the ones that you connect with on a deeper level are rare and few. I am looking to just chat by email, for now. I want to meet people with similar interests. Sometimes I can be reserved, but also like a sense of adventure. I love to travel, being creative in the kitchen , artistically and in writing. I am spiritual, pretty down to earth and am tired of false pretenses. I appreciate sincerity, have a good sense of humour and love to laugh.
I am realistic, and I know that something 'long term' takes time. I do expect to meet friends, and see if anything evolves.

****I remember when I realized how much more it would mean when someone chose to be with me of their own free will, rather than if I had created or maneuvered the situation to my liking or desire. When we try and control the situation, it becomes impure and unreal- fake. Often it is those ‘conquests’ that we soon become bored of and lose appreciation for, and easily throw away. The person we originally desired for ourselves ends up feeling used and discarded.
When the person is free to make the choice, and does, you can KNOW that it comes from within and is a pure intention. They truly enjoy your company, and appreciate and respect you for who you are. The trick is, knowing how to recognize this, and allow them to be free to love you by choice, and when they do- It means SO much more. Accepting what they give you freely is a blessing. To me this is being REAL.****

I'm not into flowers and candy- its been over done- I like a guy who is creative and can show me he cares through actions. It's all in the little things he does that shows me he has thought of me during the day. Respect, A kind heart and a sense of humour is important, as well as a sense of identity and independence (no 'kling-ons' please- yes, needy men DO exist).
I respect a person's space and the need for time with pals or alone time, and I expect to be given space when I need it. Sincerity is a MUST as well as the ability to communicate. Also, the occasional moments of goofiness and silliness are also important. No one is perfect, especially me, a work in progress and not a 'piece of work'- at least I haven't been described as such,.. yet.
I don't expect to find a perfect guy. I just want a guy who is aware of his flaws and wants to change them by his own volition. I think we should all strive to be the best we can be.
I love animals, love the country, but appreciate the convenience of the city. I like having time to myself and at times need it. I love to chat about heartfelt things and find myself helping people a lot with advice (only when asked) and am very good at helping look at something from different points of view.
