Accused and guilty as charged of being a fun-loving, well-grounded, well-rounded MD with varied interests and the ability to carry on a conversation so you won't have to suffer through awkward silence. I'm comfortable in practically any social situation, with the possible exception of gang-related criminal activity and square dancing (Never been, but strikes me as a suitable alternative to capital punishment), which I think I would find equally distasteful.

I'm in good shape and exercise regularly (6'2" 190#), but I'm not one of those neurotic, driven, gym-rats, since I have better things to do with my time than ice injuries. Excruciatingly handsome, masculine receding hairline (thinner than it appears in the pics), disarmingly charming, irrepressible zest for life, and as an added bonus....no back or shoulder hair!! But let's concentrate on depth, sensitivity, strolling on the beach at sunset, walks in the rain, (insert favorite cliche' here)... OK, honestly, I know enough to come in out of the rain. The only way I'm going to be out walking in the rain is if I got caught in the rain and, in that case, I'm running...hope you can keep up!

I'm not interested in being a "serial dater". I would like to find that one right person for a great long term relationship, however I'm not the needful, clingy type.

I'm the dad of wonderful, well-behaved kids who are my pride and joy. I definitely lucked out in the kid department, although I will take some of the credit. However, when you have terrific children to begin with being a great dad is easy. That said, I love kids, dogs, and cats. And kids, dogs, and cats love me. (Tropical fish? Forget it. I'm the kiss of death for those poor things.)

Not the stereotypical doc, I have varied interests, none of which thus far include golf, can build or repair practically anything, and am capable of carrying on a spirited conversation on just about any topic that arises. Renaissance Man or what?

I like to discover outstanding restaurants. Reasonably cultured, my favorite band is still The Ramones! While I have a casual attitude, I can be a clothes horse when the mood strikes me.

I'm of Northern Italian extraction. That's right, I was extracted from a Northern Italian.

I'm an avid reader. I usually have a couple books going at the same time. My current foray into the written word is a brief, illustrated novel dealing with canine athleticism. It's called "See Spot Run". Perhaps I should challenge myself a bit more...

The woman who appeals to me is bright, fit, at ease with herself, and able to find humor in the fact that she spent the better part of dinner laughing, conversing, and enjoying witty repartee with a piece of spinach stuck between her front teeth. (OK, I'd tell her about the spinach!)

Coffee or a light lunch and lots of conversation are the elements of a great first date. You can begin get to know each other with minimal distractions and, if you discover that you can't stand each other, you can gulp down the coffee or leave the lunch and make a mad dash for the door!!!
