........an enigma.........

firstly, i put friend as what I am looking for because nothing else seemed to fit right. a friend would be the start of who/what i am looking for. i cant go out with someone who i dont consider to be my friend, i can't think long-term about someone who i dont consider to be my friend - so friend it is.



i am in no way perfect, however, I am honest and upfront. I don't deceive people or lie about me, what you see is what you get. I have made mistakes for sure, have dated some, have wished i never had been so nice to even more of them but the one defining factor in all of this is that they were never honest in the first place. so, having said all that do i still hold out hope of meeting someone understanding, who can get past the titanium shell now surrounding my heart, who actually does what he says he will, who has gumption and respect?! hell yes, otherwise I wouldnt be here putting myself through this again. don't mistake my enthusiasm for desparation!

we all have a preferences, no need to be rude about it though. i prefer guys with some bulk, but more importantly my preference is for intelligence, integrity, dedication and respect. a bit harder to achieve but nonetheless important factors for me.

short term: getting to know someone (and 1/2 over coffee is not knowing someone) over and extended amount of time. even willing to travel to meet up (are you willing to do the same?)

long term: if it is real then i would be willing to relocate for the right person

It was about 1978 - had just started my first job (yep even maccas was around then) and I had got chatting with someone from work and there was a work do on - said he would pick me up at 2.00pm. Still waiting at 6.00pm - uhuh I got stood up. was that the beginning of the end?! oh - not that first date. OK well please I don't want a repeat of that but:
