This is the place where I tell the world about myself, my likes/dislikes, aspirations, the type of person I'd like to meet etc.

-OK, my Likes are listed above. (Another thing I like doing is typing misspelled words into the search engine here when I'm bored. For example, you wouldn't believe how many singles in Toronto enjoy "rollerbladding".)

-My Dislikes are seasonal. Lately: the yappy dog next door, shorter days/longer nights, bills, softball withdrawal, American remakes of foreign horror films

-My Aspirations (long and short term) include: finishing my graduate school work, publishing my research, atleast one autumn weekend getaway, perfecting my sweet potato corn chowder recipe, finding a job in academia, writing a screenplay, and, naturally, finding a new best friend (and more) on here or elsewhere.

-The Type of Person I'd Like to Meet: someone who looks at that list of interests above and thinks "I dig some of those", someone smart (even sassy) and opinionated but who can also roll with a passionate, thoughtful, and serious conversation, someone who makes me laugh with their dark wit or sarcastic one-liners, someone who "gets" that I think early Elton John is as good (not better!) than Led Zeppelin, someone who can be my perfect partner-in-crime.
