Yes, internet dating is tough. Having a tremendous amount of choices is great, but the "Candy Store Syndrome" is also so prevalent. For me, I will not compromise my high standards, but my 'must have' list is really not that long. I am not interested in getting stuck in cyberspace, so if there is mutual interest, my preference would be to meet sooner rather than later. I am first and foremost a gentleman, who will impress you with a playful sense of humor and a genuine respect for others. I am courteous and kind, but because of my strong sense of self-worth, I will not be afraid to call you out if you have obviously cross the line. I lead when I need to, follow when I want to. If these are the qualities you look for in a man, read on.

Although a long term committed relationship is what I desire, dating is where it begins.

It starts with an attraction. We have no control who we're attracted to so I may as well not even worry about it. I do look forward to having loads of fun in dating though. My idea of great dates are Frisbee at the beach; a hike up the local mountain; shopping for food and cooking a meal together; counting stars on a clear winter night and sitting by a crackling bonfire sipping Zinfandel. It will be the little things that I remember the most. Holding hands, cuddling, random acts of kindness, warm and encouraging words, gentle caress and kisses... yes, long, irresistibly sensual kisses! Hmmm...

My hobbies and interests are diverse, and they help to shape the person that I am. I am an interesting mix of East-and-West, and this has afforded me a unique perspective in life more often than not. I am a long time Vancouverite, and have witnessed the transformation of this great city from a sleepy west coast seaport to a truly metropolitan city. I appreciate the diverse ethnic and cultural variety my city harbors and I welcome friends of all ethnicities. Skin color does not matter to me, not in friends, dates or even a life partner. I am social but don't crave for attention. I am not usually the life of the party but sometimes when things get a little dull, I will gladly step up to the plate. I cheer for the Vancouver Canucks, but am also wise enough to know that no matter how loud I cheer, they are not gonna win much of anything. lol.

I value honesty, integrity and open communications. Without these, we will never see eye-to-eye. Some people will fake their age, their photos and/or their intentions to get you to notice. I am content with myself and have no need nor desire to mislead anyone. I have never been married, have no kids and am not interested in casual sex.

Okay, now that you know a bit about me, why not drop me a note? Confidence is very appealing and I appreciate a woman who isn't afraid to make first contact. And if you take the time to write more than one or two lines, I'll be even more impressed!

If we meet for coffee and there is mutual interest, I will plan our first date. Most likely it will be something fun, but also with a lot of quite time to talk. A chance to flirt a little and laugh a lot, and if you enjoy witty conversations, you're in luck. I am a great conversationalist!
