Hello Ladies:

I am looking for Intelligent, interesting chat with women who can make me laugh. Sorry, but I'm not looking to date at this time.

Regarding chat, although I came here looking for light amusement; I can be pretty open when it comes to topics of discussion as long as the conversation is intelligent and tasteful. I do however, have some restrictions. I will not discuss politics or religion and I will not abide vulgarity or crudity. My having said that, means of course, that you can expect me to accept and respect your own list of excluded topics and standards of behaviour.

Even though, I have stated that I do not wish to date, I keep on getting the same "Dating" type questions. So in answer to those questions:


I am a romantic who appreciates a personable, intelligent, woman who has a sense of humor and a quick wit.

My friends would describe me as: intelligent, a good listener, a sucker for a cute smile.

I'm divorced, no kids.

I strongly believe in the British concept of form.

Although I follow the basic "Judea Christian Ethic," I am not the least bit religious or spiritual.

I like to travel and do new things.

I enjoy photography.

I love to read and always have my head in a book - mostly fiction.

I tolerate cats. I love dogs.

My To-Do list includes learning how to ride a horse, taking a Hot Air Balloon ride and trying SCUBA diving.



The qualities and characteristics I most admire are:
- integrity, honesty and a sense of honor;
- being well grounded and level headed;
- being self confident, able to ask help from others but preferring to be independent;
- being a good listener;
- knowing one's own mind and how to speak it, but preferring to keep one's own consul;
- knowing the difference between giving consul and telling others what to do;
- being able to speak directly, clearly and plainly;
- knowing, the importance of taking a little time for one's self, and;
- being able to like one's self.

The traits and characteristics I most detest are:
- hypocrisy;
- dishonesty:
- inconsiderateness - egocentricity;
- pettiness;
- rudeness;
- vulgarity, and
- crudeness.

When going out, I like fine dinning, seeing a concert, a play, or taking in a movie. When at home, I like to sit by a fire (if I had one) sipping wine or brandy, or a good scotch, and listening to jazz or classical music.

From time to time I can also do with a pizza, cold beer and classic rock.

Outdoor activities like a barbecue on the beach or a walk down a leafy lane are great, but if I can't sleep in my own bed, I want a "Five Star Hotel," not a tent (Been there done that, way too much.).
