About Me
I lost my Wife of 25 years to Cancer in 2004 and would like to find a special someone to spend the other half of my life with. I'm not looking to replace what I once had but rather start over without the teenage dating games of jealousy, head games, and so on. Simply, I want to start over from where I left off and I'm not interested in the 100 dates a month thing and not really sure what's in store these days with dating because I've never had any of those feelings for the last 25 years of my married life. I have reservations about finding someone "online" because of the usual assumptions that everyone on the Net are axe murderers and lunatics, but then I realized "hey, I'm on here so which one am I?". To set your mind at ease, I'm neither :-)
I'm looking for someone who would like to spend the rest of their life sharing life's experiences with me. I'm not interested in changing or molding someone to my liking. I want to find someone that has faults, like we all do, and then adapting to them because if I can love the faults then the perfections will be heavenly. I'm also on the messenger thing at the hawt place with my business name of glassdude I'm not sure how to work this site, how to talk to anyone, and what all these buttons do :-) but I'm working on it.
The most important things in my life are Faith, Family, Honesty, Health, Contentment, Loyalty, and Respect. I spend my free time with my teenage Son (15), although not near enough, and maintaining my illness support web sites which is my passion more than a job. Too many unfortunate people are left by the wayside these days and we need to remember we're all humans and we don't have to follow the "Only the strong survive" rule of nature. ALL people deserve equal respect and compassion. Years ago I started helping people to have a better life during their illness and that has since become an addiction. There is no bigger reward than making people smile and giving them a reason to look forward to tomorrow when they once thought they had no hope. Try that for someone, you will not regret it.
I'm a signmaker and I sandblast designs into glass, metal, wood, etc and that's what pays the bills. It's also not considered a job because it's just way too much fun. Creativity mixed with working together with your family is the best life can offer. You can get a basic idea from my business site at glassdude com
Those that know me will say I'm Loyal, sincere, honest, compassionate, and committed and that doesn't mean "should be committed" but committed to what I have a passion for :-). The most memorable moment in my life has been when I was looking deeply into my wife's eyes, feeling her squeeze my hand, and seeing her smile at me as she took her last breath. My friends will also say that I currently bury myself in my work (I say fun) so if it takes a while for me to reply it's just because I haven't gotten back here yet.
I would also like to make connections with other business owners because I feel we can all help each other out by the various experiences we've been privileged with.
First Date
I think meeting in a common area with minimal distractions would be the best. A setting where we can each find out more about the other so we can decide if this could be right for us. I don't want to sound fussy or impatient but I hope my next relationship is my last and neither of us ever have to look any further.
