Well, let the fishing begin. I'm a man (yep, I am), who's looking for something special to happen. I'm looking for that special someone to come out and see a movie, or a band, have a drink or a giggle, to share some thoughts and conversation over wine or desert. I guess what I'm driving at is that I think it's time to take a serious look at what it is I am seeking in a woman, and maybe...just maybe (please Dean Martin)....find that girl of my dreams.

Here I am hoping to meet someone to have a laugh with, and see where it goes. I don't mind trying to figure out the subtle signs and obscure hidden meanings behind a gesture or a toss of the head, but please no game playing, psychology, or wacky weirdness....I just don't have the time to fool around and be made a fool of. I have a silly wit, but I'm not a silly tit.

I love movies, and music, cooking, getting out for a drive to Whistler or just finding a new adventure. Hockey, football (CFL) are some of the sports I like, and I do love to read. I love history, especially about the exploits of exploration and the human struggle to overcome pretty much anything....imagined or real.

Truly, I really have no idea what to really say about myself, as I'm writing this before the first coffee of the day, as I was a bit inspired by a dream that I had to re-write this and maybe make an effort instead of just browsing like I have been for the last while. I guess maybe it's that time of year, or just that I'm ready for more than just window shopping.

I'm a secure, hard working man who wants to just have a bit of magic. So the stars at night mean something again. That the Moon is more than just a pale ghost of hope in the night...(sigh)

The first date... how about a little conversation over coffee, at a place where it's comfy and inspires conversation, then if the feeling is right, a stroll (if weather permits) or ...where ever the wind blows. I like to just play it by ear...maybe see a show or some live music...or if the magic is right, just look into each other's eyes and get lost in the moment for a bit.
