Well I'm 37 and a friend recommended this site to me.. So I'm giving it a whirl
Update 9-22-08 yanno it's funny that sometimes I read profiles of people on here and they say they're not judgmental in their profiles and yadda yadda yadda and they seem somewhat interesting to talk to and I will merely attempt to say hello and they will block me and even ignore my curious attempts to IM and ask if they blocked me for some reason and if so what it might of been that made them think I wasn't even worth saying hi to or whatever. To me that IS judging a book by it's cover and well it may have saved me time by not getting to know that person that is quite possibly shallow and full of BS and trying to fool themselves it's still somewhat frustrating and even hurtful to me. Their loss though I guess , while I'm not one to boast I know I am a good person and someone may just find this out someday. On a lighter and happier note I am going to play me some drums tonight at a friends birthday party so that should be a blast.

UPDATE 6-19-08: I'm now a clownfish.. seems fitting as I tend to joke around some..

Update 4-23-08
I just felt like putting up some new ramblings that nobody will probably bother to read through but at least theres something here. I think I may have become addicted to restoring and geeking out on vintage drums in the last year..I've been at it off and on for years but this last year I've stumbled across some real promising old drums that with a bit of work have become some really nice sounding and playing drums.. It's so much fun to take an old instrument that has a chance at being a real gem and to put some time into it and make it a truly wonderful sounding and functioning instrument again and breath new life into an otherwise beat up old drum . I personally think that drumshells mature with age and some of the drums from the early to mid 20th century are still some of the best sounding and constructed drums ever made. Todays big name drum companies for the most part arent interested in quality and tone so much as the bottom line.. Profit margin. A few of the high end companies however have noted that the drummers that really have a clue about their instrument really take note of how the drums are built and the workmanship it takes to create a truly quality set of drums. So without naming names I thank those companies that go the extra mile to make a difference in this day and age. Ohh, and yea, If you're not a drummer and dont get this paragraph thats ok.. It's just my little 2 cents worth for today..
UPDATE 11-14-07:I've been in the hospital for 2 weeks from some unknown infection that had my white blood cell count off the scale....I originally went in cause my back went out & my pain meds weren't working so I went into the E.R. to get a shot for the pain and they took my blood and my white blood cell count was like 22,300 so they kept me and started doing tests on me to try n locate whatever infection I had which they were never able to find.. They had me on hardcore antibiotics and I had 2 different nuclear bone scans cause they thought I might of had an infection around the pins in my pelvis where they pinned it back together from the car accident I was in years ago, but that wasnt it..I had a CAT scan as well which showed I had a spleen..I elaborate on that lower down in this post... They did test on my heart to make sure I didnt have an infection there too.. I stumped them evidentally.. They even did an HIV test on me which I thought was funny as I know that DEFINITELY wasnt it..lol
Out of it all the most perplexing thing that I learned was that I evidentally have a spleen now, which is quite interesting to find out beings I was told that it was ruptured and they removed it in 1988 when I was in the car accident and that I would have to be careful with myself as I would be more susceptable to infections beings I didnt have a spleen. For those that dont know the spleen helps fight off infections and cleanses your blood and stores extra blood say for example you were cut and lost alot of blood suddenly.. My doctors say it's not a full spleen but a partial which is working.(didn't know this was even possible to have a partial spleen) They also said it has grown some which I find to be really interesting as from what I was told they don't regenerate like say a persons liver can...So now I'm really wondering what the doctors did to me and they they didn't do to me back when I was in that car accident that nearly took my life in 1988.. Makes me wonder if they might of just been racking up a bigger bill.. Now mind you I am no medical expert, but I DO rememeber things that are told to me and this is what I've been told.. Makes ya think doesnt it
If I were to get a date I'd probably have a heart attack first cause I actually GOT A DATE!!. Umm with that being said.. Keep the paddles handy to revive me .. Hmm a first date.. I would have to just wing it and go with the flow and see what happens. something simple and nonconfrontational would probably be what I would do..
*Edit06-19-08*.. Oh I know.. We could go to a shooting range !

....Sidenote:if you really think I'm serious about that one then , well, I dont know. Maybe the full frontal lobotomy will help liven ya up a bit.
