As the leaves change from lush summer green to the brilliant reds, golds, and browns of autumn, you can't help but wonder what will come with the upcoming months. Gently setting the tarps in place to protect the gleaming paint of the summer rides, your mind wonders along the path of the changing season and all it brings. The warm cuddly sweaters, the flannel blankets, the gentle flicker of the flame in the fireplace and thoughts of someone special to share this time comes to mind.

A time when the falling rain is not quite so gentle against the window but the lightning racing across the sky, still amazes. A moonlight walk in the crisp cool air is the perfect way to spend an evening, as you enjoy the warm smooth hand gently clasped in yours. Snuggling close on the couch as the hockey game plays out, you imagine the many cold winter nights that lie ahead to enjoy this time and again.

The fresh blanket of fallen snow that will soon cover all but the small animal tracks and the warmth of the sun reflecting brightly off it come morning. The card table set for time spent with great friends, making greater memories, and the air fills with laughter and good cheer. The cool touch of skin, from the one you love, gently brushing your cheek as you lay your head at the end of another perfect day.

Slowly taking one step at a time, hand in hand, wishing time would stand still, if only for a moment, while you dream of future plans and far-away lands. Knowing that this day is only one of many to come, you relax and just enjoy being you. The sounds of traffic, sirens, and other city noises are gone and replaced by the beauty of the evergreens that will soon be lite with bright colours in the coming holiday season. The phones, faxes and computers are far from your mind as your thoughts turn to music, joy, family and friends spending time together. Well that's how I want to spend my autumn and winter, how do you want to spend yours?
