i'm educated, enough-read and have learned to relax over time. i'm funny but this world is getting me down; i miss being ignorant and blissful. well, not really. i watched Steven Wright's stand-up recently. there are two types of people on this planet, those that think there are two types of people and those that don't. i'm not an automaton but will reflect what you are. super well-traveled but am done with it for now until i can start sharing my experiences with a confident, reasonably intelligent, down to earth woman that can laugh at herself. i backpack. will continue to snowboard, matsutake mushroom pick, bike, hike, camp and learn. i wouldn't mind skydiving again but it doesn't matter if i don't. definitely will snowboard this winter. i'm generally alpha but try to ensure that people don't perceive this. maybe i'm beta or bravo. don't mind a woman who takes control...actually, kinda turns me on. depends though. you're likely to be unimpressed with my job title. i have my own home in the woods, by a lake, off the grid with solar and a dog that turns dog-fraidy-cats into dog adorers. i'm almost 6'4" and drove a civic hatchback for the last twelve years. just got a 2010 4X4 crossover and i'm adapting to the power. can fly a small plane too. i probably have ADD but not quite sure on this one. sometimes people surprise me and i tend to focus.

you: don't shop for prada shoes on robson street, consider yourself reasonably wise and don't find a need to feign an attempt at controlling your environment to make up for any shortcomings, as do i. if you are a positive person i might make you laugh your ass off. depends though. and never ever, but definitely like, curb your enthusiasm.

both of us: rational realists but romantics at heart

I prefer hiking, biking, a game of tennis or snowshoeing on a first date rather than go through an interview-like scenario, but am definitely open to a drink at a pub or restaurant.
