I honestly think I have a better grip on my faults but I will say I value humility, selflessness, honesty, loyalty, faith hope, forgiveness, and love in myself and others. I have boundless energy and like to stay active playing golf, hiking, skiing. I hope to find an attractive and fit woman to share an active lifestyle. I have few ties or obligations so I am free to go anywhere life leads. I don't need a woman to mother me or do all the domestic chores like some guys. I am looking for a lover and best friend.
I have three grown great kids that love me. A dog that everybody loves. He tolerates me and is likely the reason my friends do also. His name is Ace by the way. I'll upload his picture later maybe one of us together. I'm not going to tell you how great I am, or what my friends say about me because I try not to think in those terms and I don't know and I'm sure not going to ask but they keep feeding me, and I do make them laugh and cry. Hadn't been able to have all three of my kids with me at the same time in several years. Yesterday, when all my troubles seem so far away , I told my son all I wanted for Christmas next year was a picture of the three of them together he said he would make it happen, good kid. Pretty smart huh? I try to keep it humble in this world that is way to stuck on itself, but I'm proud of my kids. I believe in values and ethics and absolutes even when we don't measure up instead of lowering the bar so we look good or making it up as we go along. So I end up breaking some rules but the rules endure.
They say you girls don't care as much as we guys do about looks but best I can tell the more superficial we guys become as a gender the more gals are looking for money and looks. As far as money goes I once had a lot, not so much any more. As for looks you will have to judge for yourself. I have had my share of flattery tossed my way and all my former loves were lookers. I'm somewhere between slim and athletic and wish I had a honey to work out with. Apparently there is something different about my eyes besides just being blue but again I'm not going to ask. When it comes to my looks I do the best I can to look good stay clean and smell good but like a man. I can be intense and a lot to keep up with.
As far as who I am. I have a compulsion to start at the beginning so ask me for my first story about when I was four years old. I'll send it along.

There are a couple things I'd still like to do besides the usual see the world type of stuff:
I was married for 22 years never raised my hand, never would, rarely raised my voice and never addressed my wife cursing. Never felt loved. Last ten years I have grown to realized I could have loved better and maybe it would have made a difference. We got pregnant and it cast a cloud that I believe we waited to long to deal with emotionally. I think it impacted her because it undermined her ability to believe I truly loved her. I still love her in a different way than you should worry about. I would not want to be married to her again but I enjoy seeing her when I do. She has remarried and is happy I think, I hope. What ever baggage I have I benefited from and it is not usually a burden. So I want a love story for the ages, are you up for it?
I want to have my own Blues restaurant with Low Country type food like Blackened Cat Fish, Ribs, NC BBQ but upscale a little, lots of beers on tap, lots of bar stools, not a sports bar but always ready for the big game or music videos when there is no band in the house. Location, location, location .... Money, money, money.

I want to write. Never really thought about it or tried until the last few months and I am into it. Hell I could barely read when I graduated from UNC. I have a great idea for a novel.

The grandchildren will eventually come, my daughter and her husband have had two miscarriages and surgery to correct a contributing factor. Her first male child will be Cole named for me. I want to have the greatest most positive impact on his live from the day he comes into this world to the day I leave it.

I like sitting around a fire sipping wine and getting to know each other. On a pretty day a round of golf or a hike in the mountains.
