1) I've been a vegetarian for 10 years, but I wear leather. Mainly I just dislike eating meat, but I'm not in it for your cause or mine and I won't preach to you and I don't care if you eat a hamburger in front of me.

2) I've never touched drugs. I don't want to alter my mind. I'm quite happy with it, thank you. I don't get drunk either. I enjoy a glass of red wine or a margarita, but that's about the limit of it.

3) Even though I love guns, I would never hunt. I pick up bugs and toss them out of my apartment. I feel guilty if I step on a snail, but I won't hesitate for a second to kill mosquitoes.

4) I love Rammstein and the Red Army Chorus equally. I will sing along to Carole King or scream to Metallica in my car, depending on traffic conditions. I have no problem listening to Dropkick Murphys one minute and ABBA the next.

5) I'm very unpretentious and modest, but when it comes to clothes, shoes, and linens, I buy only Italian. I would never tell you this fact in person, however, because I am modest. Yes, my life is a paradox.

6) I was the first ever male volunteer in Safeplace's legal advocacy program for battered women and I hope to be a prosecutor in the next 5 years. Failing that, I want to act.

7)I have an extensive DVD collection encompassing many foreign and indie films and yet my favorite movies are Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and Lost in Translation.

8) I love hiking the greenbelt for hours just as much as I love a night at the ballet (which is to say I love it).

9) I have been to Canada, Fiji, The Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, and Guam, but my favorite place so far was Tasmania. I only wish it weren't so cold there most of the year. I would probably put Tahiti on the top of my list, but I was never able to get out of the airport to go see it. From the air it looked like paradise.

Here are the basics: I'm 38 but fortunately I look and act younger. I know how to "act my age" when conditions warrant, but that doesn't mean I can't swing in the playground when the mood hits me (I'm very fond of swing sets actually). I'm 5'6" and I still have all my teeth and 3/4th of my hair. I'm 185 on a good day so a skinny monkey I am not, but I love playing sports and running around outside. I would like to meet someone who isn't ready to abandon her sense of wonder. A woman who still wants to learn and thinks she can make a difference in the world. I'm just a big kid at heart so I'm not scared away by kids. Consequently, single mothers are encouraged to reply. Just don't get mad at me if I get them all riled up. If you're out there, drop me the proverbial line.

Fly to Paris on the Concorde for brunch at a little cafe on the Champs Elysees with fresh croissants. Then leisurely walk around the Louvre for a few hours discussing what we have in common. Dinner at a little quaint restaurant followed by a walk up the Eiffle Tower for a spectacular view of Paris. Finally we would take a midnight cruise down the Seine River before flying home.
