I am a single father, who like any single parent, has a busy schedule between work, taking care of my son, his activities, and maintaining a home. It is important to me that you have an understanding of the demands that can be put on a single parent at times. My son is now a teenager and I find myself with more and more free time, but meeting that special someone just hasn't happened the traditional way. Not that I am against going out once in a while,,, but I would prefer not meeting someone in a bar. I consider myself secure in all aspects of my life and ask that you also be. I am looking to meet someone as friends first and see where things may go and what develops. We may hit it off and we may not,,, one never knows. I do not play games with people and expect the same in return. Children/kids are great,,, but I am a firm believer that they not get introduced into a relationship until if and when the time is right. I look at it as I have a parental life and a personal life and the two are separate until the time is right for them to come together,,, not until. My parental life takes priority as it should with you too. I may come across strong in what I believe in and upfront,,,, but I guess at times you have to be. I am an honest person in morals, values, and in what I have to say and am true to my word. The little things in life are what mean the most and so is having someone to share them with. So if you are kind,,, giving,,, strong in your beliefs,,, and believe honesty is the best policy,,,, lets get to know one another and see what comes about.

I think a first date should be about getting to know the person that your with rather than where you go. Deciding what and where to go together, I feel is best, then you have a mutual agreement and that is a good start to a first date. Some place quiet and relaxing is always great to put two people at ease when first meeting. I tend to keep a laid back, go with the flow attitude mainly because there may be a change in plans either before the date or durring. You may decide to have a quick drink and decide at that time to have dinner as well. Who knows.
