Hello there, thanks for taking the time to read this. It is always difficult to write about yourself without it sounding like a job interview or that you are over-doing it!

I'm not very good at blowing my own trumpet, so instead I asked a few friends for some one-word descriptions: dependable, honest, clever, and funny. Not bad, (it's amazing what people will say when a free drink is on offer...)

I enjoy the great, hiking, camping, climbing, snowboarding, anything that is going to give me a challenge and that kick of adrenaline. Willing to have a go at most things. My last big adventure was a solo hike in Iceland, which included fording several glacial streams swollen by rain water - very cold, brrr!
