Honest, sincere guy looking for his soul mate, as are most on this site. I was married once but to the wrong person for almost 18 years. I gave up after 13 years and called it quits after 17 years when my daughter was older. Hey, it doesn't hurt to try again! That was many years ago and now I'm free but a little lonely and missing that one special lady to give my affection to. Some say they don't want to die alone but I don't want to live alone! I'm told I'm handsome and easy to get along with but you can decide that for yourself. I am also straight forward, honest and have a big heart. I do not like head games. I don't necessarily like on-line dating but as so few other methods exist when one reaches middle age to meet ladies, I have joined POF.
I am realistic though and respectful of others be they old, crippled or 'physically challenged'. I respect the female gender. I guess that makes me a little old-fashioned. Respect is what's lacking in today's world. I hate snobs or anyone who thinks they are better than anyone else because each of us is better then someone else in some way or another.
I've been told by others that I think too much but then that can be positive too. I'd hate to think that I didn't think! Then you'd have something to complain about. Think about that!
My greatest fear is that I'll die before finding a special lady that can make me smile just by being with her. Actually, that's what we're all here for, isn't it?

My daughter is over 18 now and in college(where did the time go), although its hard to believe!

The important thing in any relationship is communication and what better time to begin this as when we meet for the first time. In this regard, a short casual meeting over coffee or a drink in a quiet setting would be ideal. I'm a straight-forward type of guy and would appreciate "laying the cards on the table" as it were, and finding out what each of us is looking for in the relationship.
