My life has taken me on some incredible journeys, internally and externally! I am happy when I have someone to share life's adventure with; someone who is compassionate, a good conversationalist, takes care of his personal appearance, is motivated, funny, confident (but not showy), sincere, patient and kind. Integrity and being trustworthy trumps a master's degree any day! I have a realistic, grounded outlook on life and clear insight into people, places and things. I love animals and only wish I can devote myself extensively to the plight of no more animal abuse, neglect or cruelty of any kind. I am a free spirit and enjoy creativity and spontaneity. I like to hear live music at small venues, drive through the country, outdoor fairs, gardening, reading, long walks especially by the Lake in Michigan. I can be outgoing, friendly and talkative, and sometimes I am just content, contemplative and quiet. I have been told I am a good listener as understanding and communication are very important to me. I'm pretty simple, if you enjoy good laughter and you can make me smile, that makes me happy! It is important to be honest with our own feelings and also sharing with one another. I love hard and I am hard to love but I love REAL. Kind of like Jackson Pollock........love his strength and weakness in his art. Knowing and trying to get it "out there" his feelings through his roughness and integrity and grit. I love his persuasiveness and determination not to be held into "the status quo". And I possess the wisdom to know that all of our experiences in life make us not less valuable, but more valuable, not less, but more, able to love. And I truly believe in planting my own garden, not waiting for someone to bring me flowers. How about you?

A first date hopefully would not be totally planned out; spontaneous! Whatever both agree to that would be fun and a little exciting - I would not like a movie as I do not feel this is a way of using the time to get to know one another. Anything outdoors, live music at a small venue. A great meal at a restaurant where we can actually hear each other talk and get into mutually interesting conversation - and if you make me smile, let's stay for a while!
