About Me
I am looking for someone I could be compatible with as a companion, a friend, and a romantic partner, with the eventual goal of finding that person who is my soulmate and develop a longterm relationship in time. He would be a lot like me: very intelligent, good sense of humor, I am rather witty myself, so I am told...kind, gentle, respectful of others, and yes, reasonably attractive too. (And my pics are actually of me, and taken recently--what a concept! So it would be nice to see you too...)
I want to be with someone who likes to things besides sit on the couch and watch tv (though yes cuddling up watching a movie is great too), but I like to get out and do things like, festivals, museums, theater, dining out, out door activities, the beach, hiking, exploring new places , and many others. I have travelled a lot in this beautiful land of ours and not done yet! Someone who loves life, has a positive attitude, smiles and laughs a lot, no use sitting around moping about things that can't be changed--like the past!I would love to explore most of the world, and I have travelled the Carribean, and love it (Belize was awesome!).I would love to see Costa Rica before the rainforests disapear, and in Europe I would like to go to Spain, have family in Britain and have traveled there a lot and it is fantastic!
First Date
A first date is a way to assess if there is chemiistry and attraction which is vitally important. If that isn't there, well ya know it just isn't, but if it is, well that is a very good start. However, I believe it takes time to know if two people are compatible over the long run, that is why I would like to find someone local, Bradenton/Sarasota area preffered, to meet in person (a few emails back and forth are fine, but NOT looking for a pen pal either, so guys if you want to IM me at least send an email first so I can know who I am talking to, and even then I work at home on the pc a lot and just don't always have time to IM chat, even if I am interested, so do write, I will reply), do things together, hangout, see each other regularly (that is why I just don't think the long distance thing is workable) and as they all say...see what happens! I like quieter places, intimate cafes and such, as I enjoy intelligent conversation a lot, but my voice is rather soft so I want to be able to go some place quiet so we can talk and get to know each other....
