I think my interests section say alot about me already. I'm easy going and lazy. I am artistic and creative. I enjoy poetry, photography and the performing arts. I tend to be a quiet person, shying away from crowds and excessive noise, seeking humor, pleasure and enjoyment in more one-on-one or solitary pursuits. I like most forms of music, many types of movies but mostly scifi, fantasy, action and humor, and mostly scifi, fantasy and new age books. I love mother nature but also technology, especially the old computer. I am good at computers, you could call me a "natural" at it. I am decent at photography and am getting better daily. I can do a tarot reading alright. I can write a poem, when the feeling hits me. I desire to find a finer way of living than the redundancy of most normal lives.

To say more about me, I am not "Susie Homemaker." If you are looking for a woman to cook for you, clean for you and be your maid, look elsewhere now. I am lazy, as I said before and I dislike all forms of housework and thus try to avoid it as much as possible. I am also very much a packrat, so I tend to have piles of stuff around. I'm a major book person, so many of those piles are filled with books, many of which I haven't read in years. So, I guess I'm a bit of a slob. If I sound applealing still, keep reading. If not, please don't waste my time.

Also, I'm a bit of an intellectual and I like equally intelligent and coherent people. If you can't at least make your profile coherent and true to who you are, then also don't bother to send me an email. I've been getting a lot of emails from guys who put about two lines in their profile and then they expect me to want to get to know them based on that and the "hey how are u" emails they send me. I don't like to waste time on idiots and I won't reply to guys with idiotic emails and profiles.

I'd love to go to a great Asian Indian restaurant (one with a Mom and Pop feel to it) then to a play, movie or a comedy show. Or maybe just sit and drink tea at a coffee shop, reading our poetry and get to know each other. We would end the evening with a sunset walk on the beach and maybe more. At least, that would be an ideal date for me.

Any more, when I look at guys, I first ask myself, "Would this man be a good father and provider for my child?"

Qualities I'm starting to find attractive in men are things like how he behaves around children, if he can get down on the floor and play with them or not. If he can be responsible around children or not. And also how he is around people in general, whether he is arrogant or humble around people. I'm a pretty modest person, so arrogance or male chauvinism for me is a real turn-off. But a guy that is respectful around people regardless of who they are (for the most part), is someone I am interested in.

It wasn't always this way. I used to be attracted to guys for the stupidest of reasons, because he was merely physically attractive despite what a jerk he was. Or because I felt a hormonal surge when we met and mistook it for a spiritual connection.

Now, what matters more to me is finding a man who understands me and accepts me for who I am. Someone though, who I can also understand and accept for who he is. Someone who accepts me despite my flaws who I can also accept despite his flaws. And who will also accept my daughter as his own and who will be a good father to her.
