Hi there...

Well, a bit of an update here. I have recently met someone from the site with whom I have "clicked" with pretty well. Where it goes I am not sure of at the moment, but with a little time I will find out. It may result in just friendship or it may lead to more.

On a side note, you will see me continuing to take a look at profiles. I don't mean to give the appearance of stalking or that I am looking (although still not sure where my current relationship is going - lol)... It's just that I enjoy seeing how people's profiles change and the addition of pictures, etc. Its sort of like seeing a bunch of little diary's going on with people's lives and I find it very interesting. I always enjoy seeing what makes people tick so to speak and how they describe themselves in their profiles.

Anyways, good luck to you in your search as well!! And if nothing else, I must say that I have made a couple of good friends through this site. I can also say that I made a friend put up a profile (yep set it up and partially filled it in for him) on the site and he has found himself a very nice girlfriend and the two have been dating for 8 months now. So never give up!

I have a very good life in terms of I do a lot of different things and have been known to do a few weird things for the fun of it as well. Work wise, I am an adult daycare supervisor specializing in dealing with adults with 5 year old mentalities. Actually I am a civil engineer who oversees construction projects and my staff sometimes like to act like babies versus the grown men that they are.

I golf and hunt, because either way when I do those two sports I am way deep in the bush. Its amazing how much wildlife you see when you get off those nice lush fairways! I enjoy fishing and getting out on the lake as well. I also play tennis at a fairly competitive level, pool and am trying to get back into playing badminton.

I own a cottage near the manitoba border (Madge Lake which is located in Duck Mountain Provincial Park). I need to finish building a fire pit behind my cottage, but was working on wiring the garage. I also like just jumping into my old Dodge 4x4 and going cruising the back roads for the fun of it sometimes too.

I bought myself the old '73 Plymouth Cuda (pictured above) which has turned out to be a LOT of fun. See, instead of a cat or dog, I decided that I needed a fish, hence the Barracuda. Even when things break on it, its fun to actually go tinker with it. But the best part of it is going for an ice cream cone to the 8th street Dairy Queen. The stereo is cranked with some older rock music. Then park in the empty lot with all the other muscle cars that generally show up and relax and enjoy the night for a little bit before doing a little cruise.

On the travelling note - I have travelled a lot for work in the past! I have lived in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg and seen a lot more of the coutryside (having also done projects in the North-West Territories and Yukon) all because of work on various engineering projects. So I got to the point where I hated travelling. When you live out of a suitcase for 10 months out of the year and have put countless miles on, it does get tiring. Now I am finding that I enjoy travelling, but its when i am doing it WITH someone regardless if it is somewhere I have gone before or not.

Lately I am enjoying entertaining friends more and more. Having supper parties. But I also like to relax with some quiet time as well. I enjoy all kinds of movies and I range from being a couch potato to going out all the time. I am comfortable going out for drinks to a lounge, playing pool or going to a movie or staying at home and relaxing on the couch.

I am 6'1", 207 pounds and working on getting that back down. I am not sure if its possible for me to hit "average" body - lol. Lately, I have gotten into the gym thing now as well (sure not putting it as an interest cause I would give it up in a heartbeat if I could). Thank god for TV in the exercise room to help the time pass otherwise I would probably say the heck with it - lol.

I have also done a lot of volunteer work and at one point I sat on 18 different committees and burnt myself out as well. I still do some volunteer work but have learnt to moderate it and have my own life too. You live and learn.

What else... well, I did have blond hair - But I just tried the shaved head look and have been told that it suits me.

Some day maybe I will get a bike but for right now I have the car and it has turned out to be a blast to go cruising in. Yes... mid-life crisis. But what the hay! A boys gotta have some toys!

Chat and see what happens. Maybe something as simple as meeting for coffee, dinner, going to a movie, pub, playing pool... etc.
