Computer dating is somewhat new to me but certainly worth a try. (I may be better at dating than I am at the computer!) Yes, I'm 72, Who would say 72 if younger? I'm looking for a younger companion whose energy and spunk can match mine. However, no someone under 50. Honesty is very important to me. I'm old fashioned enough to wish to be treated like a lady. My interests vary so I would probably enjoy almost any kind of outing, including walking, shopping, theater, barbecue, fine dining, dancing, watching horse shows, listening to good music, art exhibits, craft shows, museums, swimming, and so much more.

I am a published writer, newspaper and magazine articles, many on Travel, Singles and Singles Travel. I've been known to post a few Blogs about some of my "Adventures" with online dating....they are definitely good for a chuckle or two.

I'm looking for an educated gentleman, one who wants a longterm, monogamous partner. Because of the forums, I am open to receive messages from all ages, but, I will not consider dating anyone under 50. Anyone who messages me with nothing more to say than Hi Babe, how goes it?" will probably not receive a reply from me....Obviously, I'm never at a loss for words and I don't want to be the one doing all the talking.

However, I'm not into hang gliding, bungie jumping and motorcycle riding, so if your pic shows you standing beside your motorcycle, we will not be riding off into the sunset together on your Harley. If your profile shows no pic and "Send me a message", don't wait for MY message. I put much time and effort into creating mine, and I'm looking for someone who will do the same. A travelin' man could capture my heart. I spent many years traveling the world as an Independent Tour Director and would like to travel now, with a special companion. It's not always important where you are, but who you're with.

I'm seeking someone who wants a "real", monogamous, long term relationship, in and out of the bedroom! The thoughts and feelings we might have in common are to be learned solely by getting to know each other. There's never a guarantee, but to find out, it takes time. For a "roll in the hay", don't even think about it! I've been told that I'm beautiful, but modesty tells me to settle for attractive...You will have to make that judgment. I have a great sense of humor and look for that in a companion. Thoughtfulness and sensitivity are important, too. And, none of the above indicates that I am "easy"! (This is not here to offend the gentlemen, I'm hoping it will discourage those who have been offending me with their un-gentlemanly remarks. What a shame that it has become necessary to say this.)

I do not smoke and the smell of tobacco on someone's breath is offensive to me. I don't really drink much because I enjoy the sweet drinks and they are fattening. Besides, I have never found that I needed alcohol in order to have FUN.
I am also not against a companion who has a drink socially, but I'm enough past the teenage years that I don't want to worry about drunk driving.

The best first date will help us get to know each other to see if we might enjoy dating. It should be in an atmosphere conducive to having good conversation, perhaps a coffee house or quiet restaurant...not shouting over loud music, or sitting through a movie...If there is going to be anything..(I'm a big believer in chemistry, which we cannot orchestrate)...there will be plenty of time for all kinds of dates.

Even Email and phone conversations might tell us a lot. I'm looking forward to this new venture. And, if there's distance involved, talk to me about sharing the drive.
