Approximately 125 rose bushes surround my hilltop home and I find their vast array of color and scents a constant inspiration for living life to the fullest. However, they are only a hobby and take up a small percentage of my leisure time on the weekends.

I work in TV production and when I am on a project, it keeps me pretty busy but, usually not late at night or on the weekends. I try to keep everything in balance and reserve time for a meaningful relationship.

I also love to travel and attend events. This summer, I did some wine tasting in Napa and went on a weekend sail to Catalina. More recently, I worked as a volunteer on a Habitat for Humanity project in South LA and and saw Monty Python John Cleese's one man show at the Alex Theater in Glendale.

I enjoy jazz, rock, classical, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music. I also love French and Italian food and have traveled to many countries. I like to hike, sail, putter in my rose garden, follow current events (I'm a Democrat), read the Times, the New Yorker, history and fiction, attend wine tastings, jog, exercise at the gym and work on home improvement projects.

Among my photos is one of me and my wonderful folks when they celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary a few years ago. Although my dad has since passed away, my mom is still going strong and another photo shows us celebrating her 90th birthday at a baseball game in Tampa, FL, where she lives.

My goal here is a long-term, monogamous relationship with an upbeat, intelligent woman who stays in shape and shares some of my interests, but also has some of her own to bring to the table.

After an initial introductory meeting over coffee, tea or wine, maybe a first date would be dinner at a romantic French or Italian restaurant with great ambiance.
