I'm a fit, energetic outdoors lover who divides his time between playing in and caring for the Wild and Wonderful aspects of WV. I have a special affinity for moving water, and live on a 100 acre homestead in SW Roane county with a thirty foot waterfall right smack in the middle of it (with adjacent wood fired hot tub - see pic). Whitewater (I guide, kayak, and have my own raft) is my primary outdoors interest, but I also savor walks through the woods and anything else that keeps me close to nature. I'm broad shouldered with a full head of greying hair and keep myself in good shape through my various outdoor pursuits plus firewood and other homestead chores.

I've spent about half of my adult life involved in a serious relationship, the other half enjoying my own company. As a 'cup more than half full' type of guy, I make the most of whatever my current circumstances are, whether committed, solitary, or dating. Life is good! The particulars of a first date are less important than picking a setting we are both comfortable with that allows us the chance for relaxed conversation and a chance to assess whatever chemistry we may have together. It could be a meal, a walk in a peaceful setting, or something completely different.
