An Intro To My Intro…

There are so many of us, both men and women, searching through endless profiles hoping to find that spark…but that spark doesn’t come from some carefully chosen pictures or a few carefully chosen words. The spark comes from a real connection, a chemistry that can only be found by two people getting to know each other in the “real” world. You have to be willing to take a chance, I am and I hope some of you are too…So here goes…

...I'm a city boy all the way...Born and raised in Chicago and I am a smoker (In the process of quitting...). 5'8" tall...Slender
I am a full time single parent of a 15year old boy (I can't believe he's starting to drive)..He's the love of my life, but is wearing me out a little more everyday..lol, and I'm also the "parent" of 2 dogs ......Even though I am a full time parent I have alot of "grown up" time too...thank goodness for sleepovers..lol. ...I own a remodeling company so my days can get pretty crazy sometimes..
I love the outdoors but generally prefer the beach and the water to anyplace else, I love to travel and do so as often as I can...I like to take alot of weekend trips...Not a big camping, fishing, hiking guy...City boy ..lol remember. Love the mountains..ski a little but not very well....after living in the midwest I've had enough of the cold..lol
Love to go out,mostly Downtown Denver when I do...dinner, theater...comedy...and of course concerts...I like alot of music..Basic rock & roll...Some metal..(I play a little guitar...kinda frustrated rock star...lol) I like Motown,R&B,Jazz and Blues..and go to some small clubs downtown when I can for live music... ( Being from Chicago I had the chance to hear alot of live Motown,R&B,jazz and blues) As for newer bands, Nickleback...Evanessence..Matchbox 20. Not a big country fan but there are a few songs...I like some hip hop/rap..but very selective..Old standards..Sinatra, Bobby Darin..( Italian guy, city boy...lol it's required listening..)...
Being in sales for many years I have no problem communicating, feelings or anything else for that matter...lol (sometimes I do to much communicating...salesman love to talk) but I'm a pretty good listener too...
I'm not real good at this online dating thing yet....I'm more comfortable talking to someone than typing.(I'm a lousy typist....2 finger at best). But I'm way past the bar scene so I figured I would give this a try...

I would usually choose a small quiet restaurant or club to have a drink and get to know each other...I like small and quiet because the object is to talk..not shout...take a little time to get you comfortable with me and visa versa.....maybe a dinner afterwards...perhaps a walk after dinner..I think the nervousness and butterflies one feels at a first meeting or approaching someone is what makes the adventure so exciting... I think that gets lost on the internet..

I know I didn’t use the right “key words” to get me more matches, I may not live next door, I may not be "tall" enough, may not be in the right “age range”, may not have the looks of a movie star (but I do clean up well). I may not fit anything you might usually look for, but that’s the point, isn’t it? To meet new people, to try new
things, to change what hasn’t been working so far, not to find perfection…just to find the perfect fit. If any of you made it this far and any of this is interesting to you let me know...
