I am highly educated and extremely intelligent, but can you tell yet I am lacking in modesty and humility? Just kidding. I believe that today is all we have. I believe that even more strongly than I used to since nearly being killed in late 2003 by an SUV which ran off the road into me while I was out walking. I got hit head-on at a speed of about 40 mph, but I made a complete and miraculous recovery. I had a near-death experience and I really feel like I have an inkling of what the afterlife is like. I learned from this that the only thing that will survive the death of our bodies is love. I felt ashamed of all the times I had not loved others even if I felt they didn't deserve it. Love is all we've got. You can't take anything else with you. Peace and Love to all reading this.

I don't "date" per se. I guess I should change that on the profile. I just don't know what to call it. I have always been socially awkward. I don't "party" either. I just about killed myself doing those kinds of things when I was younger. My sobriety is now the most important thing in my life. That and my health, and the two seem to go hand-in-hand. Even when I was in college, I didn't really enjoy that scene. Peer pressure is pretty strong among younger people. But it has less than zero power over me at this point. I used to enjoy exercising outdoors until I nearly got killed by the runaway SUV. In summary, I live my life one day at a time. I try to keep a clear conscience. And I ask God to forgive me when that conscience convicts me of doing something wrong either to God, somebody else or myself.
