Is summer over? I think I missed it.

There's a JP Baudrillard quote about seduction being the world's 'elementary dynamic.' He was on to something there... You'll find me somewhere in the idea-space bounded by Stevie Wonder, an XO laptop, and cold-war sensibilities.

About me:

Though I grew up in Toronto, I have lived in a few different countries while studying. I've got a few degrees and I read a lot. I've got a great job where they keep promoting me, which is well a nice bonus. I have to admit that I've been in 'career mode' for the past while but that doesn't make me a shut-in (the career thing seems to be working!)

I think that the good souls are found in the details; its easy to brush someone off, but if you take the time to get a bit deeper, the individually of someone else is exciting and waiting to be discovered.

What I like:

I like to wear a suit. I do most of my best work in a suit.

A *good* bottle of wine (Bordeaux AOC is usually where I look first), WICKED SUNGLASSES (* 3), nice shoes, nice ties, patios, big old houses, etc.. I don't watch much TV besides sports (Go Jays Go!)

An inquisitive mind - the ones that always ask the hard questions - is what I truly like.

I love to cook French food - simple and tasty. I can't bake at all. I have invented 2 pan-Atlantic recipes - Potatoes chez Daws and Portobellos chez Daws. Proven on two continents!
