I’ve changed my profile so many times my chameleon ran out of colours trying to keep up. It’s a bit of a trick determining what to submit and how to write it properly so others don’t get too much of a negative impression. I’m trying it again – I’ve not told my chameleon yet; I’m sure he’s at a dye shop trying to produce new colours.

I am an easy going person. I don’t get overly emotional when things go wrong. I usually shrug my shoulders and deal with it. Nor, do I get overly excited when others do. I’m in the middle, if that makes any sense. I definitely do not like others who gossip a lot…. It’s depressing. Besides, I have opinions about those who gossip about others and then shake their hand and/or hug them as if they are best of friends.

I have a unique sense of humour. I find it easy to make others laugh but then again, as it goes, not everyone appreciates what I say. With that being said, I am not one who likes to be the centre of attention. I’ll accept attention when it’s deserved but to crave it is not something I need.

Academically, I accomplished what I needed to accomplish in order to make a living. It’s not much but happily, as years passed, it hasn’t been a demerit in life. I can count to ten and divide by whole numbers; I know that more zero’s on my check are good things; I can spell as opposed to using abbreviations like OMG, TYVM and TTFN. I am most proud of the fact that I can tie my shoes while talking about these things – even though it was a long process.

Secularly, I’ve been gainfully employed for decades. I remain employed with my current employer and have been for the past fifteen years, if that means anything given the way jobs are lost and contracted out. Fortunately, my job is a hands-on job so I’m not overly concerned about Mexico, China or Taiwan taking my work away.

I am divorced (several years ago), I have two daughters living with me (ages 15, 18) and my oldest daughter is married. We aren’t perfect in any sense. But, things are going good.

What am I like in a relationship? Well, this is going to be a little bias. I think I am OK. I have my faults yet I am not one to avoid change and/or adjust my ways in order to strengthen a relationship. I’m not controlling, never have been. I’m not a pushover but I do understand what compromise is all about – provided it’s a two-way street.

I’m affectionate. I enjoy the comfort of, and sensuality of, being close – regardless of our location (especially grocery stores – can’t explain that one). I am spontaneous so you had better be on alert – lol.

I do miss those breezy evenings sitting on the deck with a special person. I miss the morning breakfasts together. I miss the fulfillment as a happy couple. I’m not rushing myself into a relationship for the sake of filling such voids. I am interested in seeing if those voids can be filled through time, patience, understanding and a natural progression of compassion and passion.
