Me - Finding Humour In Everything
The best thought I've encountered to date is that one should be a first rate version of themselves, not a second rate version of someone else. Live this thought and be damned with how others measure you!
... having to put some lines to paper, or I guess I should say this electronic void, that are simply going to state that which is simply self serving isn't really going to make you believe them any more, you know the lines; I'm this, I'm that, and I'm everything in the middle. Striking up a simple email hello would better serve us rather than me penning all my virtues without the faults, so with that, I'll leave you to discover and judge for yourself ... as we all seek the same ... don't be hesitant, say "Hi", that's all it may take :)
My Random Musings ...
· Some things will remain the same and yes - when I first saw you, I knew I would always remember. I cherish you in mind and speak of you as I know, not as what the less than ordinary would see. Your pain to share, your sadness to chase away, your joy to explore, your touch to always keep. And when you'll say you love me, there'll be no one else alive, to revel in that moment, but you and I. Adapted from a thought - 2008.
· Life is short? I see this a lot in profiles - why? Isn't it kinda' the longest thing you're ever going to experience? :_)
· I could promise you the world, to hold you and to cherish you. I could promise to be there in sickness and in health. I could say "till death do us part". But I won't. Those are the contrived words of optimistic couples who feel they must say them, the ones full of hope. I don't sit here full of hope. I am not optimistic. I am sure. I am steady. I promise you me.
· I've been emailed and asked - "Why do you do this?" - My answer is I like to occasionally help "the humans" :) My all time favourite though has to be - "How do I eMail other users?" - need I say more? :)
· Why do people wish you to live to a 101? - I don't really relish walking about in a hospital gown with my ass hangin' out and mumbling to myself. When it's time, please call Jack Kevorkian and order me a big check out sandwich, to go!
· "Down-to-Earth" ? "Laid Back"? - How about all of you who are "laid forward" or "sideways", and "down to" some other planet .... where are you people? and don't tell me "taking a long walk on the beach" Where are you the other 9 months of the year? If you do say you're down to earth, I'm half expecting you to be about 4'6" or less - may not work ... just be cool and scrap this DTE tripe .. :)
· When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different than that of others - there's that certain tone and pitch that makes you lose your thoughts, forget your name and makes you mumble. You know your name is safe in their world.
· Ok, so plummeting off the side of a mountain on a couple of waxed up sticks or being a shark's lunch off some reef just doesn't quite sit well with my insurer - they have allowed me to me to hit balls and skate and take the odd cold shower and as many long walks on beaches in the south as I want :)
· It's sad how sometimes, the depth of thoughts and expressions of love, are truly only measured by the space it took to write them - I'll always say what I mean, and mean what I say - End.

First Date
Down south , some shore, some hammock, some surf - is that too much to ask ? - well if it is, then let's shoot for the 2nd date :) - too forward? ok we can save it for the 3nd date:) - Maybe something unusual? grocery shopping? se who can come closest to say $100 dollars without going over in their cart - loser buys the other's groceries ? :)

Can't say that about too many people in life. Thank you for never wavering from your true and genuine self. For that I'm honored to call you my friend. Some woman in Canada should be so lucky to be "Trapped"

I may not have met Trapped but the email conversations have definitely intrigued me. I found him to be the most charming and sincere man on this site. It is incredible to even fathom that this man is still searching for his lady love. YES...I did a DUMB move! I relocated from Ontario to B.C...but if I would've known what I would've been missing, I would never have left...lol. Trapped...I wish you all the success that you deserve. It is so wonderful to have you on this site as someone that I can communicate with. I hold your contact in the highest regards. HUGS to you and yours! |

I admire him for his abilities to embrace me for my complex self. He laughs with me in my happiness, lends me comfort in my sadness, and shows the patience of a saint when dealing with my antics in the forums ... he's just one of the best. |

On the rare occassions when I've HAD it with the morons and the clueless noobs who won't listen, and I'm ready to throw in the towel, I'll run across a Trapper post or, God help me, a thread in which Late, Trapper and Brawny all have their wits hanging out :P , and I'll remember why I'm here.
He is one of the wittiest and most intelligent people I know, and someone I enjoy being around.
The directive, however, is to "tell the world how good or bad he is to date". I don't imagine anyone not being able to enjoy the man's company, so if he extends you the opportunity to get to know him by all means, take advantage of it ;) |

 | Trapped was one of my first favorites and friends here. Always loved to read his posts, he is wise, witty and warm, something not everyone call pull off. He does it all with his own class and style, a true gentleman and wonderful person. He's always there to help.
I can only hope and pray any woman that he fancies will appreciate him and know that she'll be one very lucky lady and no doubt the envy of many.
He's a huge asset to the pond and someone whose friendship I treasure. |
