Single male in Orange Park seeks intelligent, witty, female for movies, shows, outings to St. Augustine and whatever else fun rolls into town. Also enjoy travel and art, or just wandering around craft shows. In music I like a lot of 80's new wave/progressive/alternative music, cannot stand country music, (ok, I have a couple of Johnny Cash songs and The Devil went down to Georgia on the Ipod , but thats IT.) and as for rap.. well..the word is NO. Everything else I can go along with.

As I set this up its Oscar season and I'd like to catch over half the movies at the Orange Park 24, just don't have anyone to go with.. a good movie partner would be a great find, someone whom I could turn that into a relationship with would be a an even better one.

My sense of humour is quirky and quick.. puns.. word play.. a little sarcasm here and there.. and never miss an opportunity to poke fun at someone acting a little less than smart..but then God wouldn't have sent us idiots if he didn't want us to make fun of them.

Movies I like include but are not limited to.. Eternal sunshine of the spotless Mind, Vanilla Sky, Gattaca, Sin City, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Ghost World, Shawshank Redemption, Ed Wood, American Beauty, Monty Python and Holy Grail, Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, L.A. COnfidential, and Groundhog Day. Should be enough to give you an idea of my tastes, I do also like the film festival shows that roll through town, enjoy smaller independent films and have cursed Jacksonville more than once for not having a dedicated arthouse theater like the Landmark in Atlanta or other real cities.

As for sports only really enjoy football on tv, and even then.. usually am doing something else as the game is on and I pay closer attention to the "big" moments.. basketball is especially boring to me and golf and tennis are good sleep aids. Have been curious about going to a Hockey game live, since several non-sports fans I've known have said it was a lot of fun to see in person.. but haven't got around to doing that.

Am also a former history major who due to his father's military career has traveled through a lot of Europe, I'm quite chock full of useless trivia, historical facts, local history and know a lot about local wildlife.. and sometimes it spills out..

When I'm with someone I'm a pretty touchy feely cuddly kind of guy.. holding hands, hugs and kisses.. long walks for the heck of it.. whether on the beach or just around.. like to cuddle up on the sofa and and am usually up for giving back or foot rubs..

Well, if its someone from online the first thing to do is meet for a tasty beverage somewhere, I don't have a taste for coffee but some place along those lines would be good.. and besides, I can always get water, juice or something similar at any of those places.. The point would be to meet. spend some time talking, break some ice.. and leave.. if things go well and we want to meet again for lunch/dinner or something else we can plan that.. but if not we can go our seperate ways with (hopefully) no feelings hurt. These profiles are snapshots of ourselves and shopping lists of qualities in others, but a person is multi-layered enough that you have to meet them to really see how compatible you can be.
