About Me
Looking for someone to spend time with and share life's experiences. I am divorced after more than thirty years of marriage and have started a new life. My children are married and have their own families and careers. I love them, but my life doesn't revolve around them. I am free of any baggage from my previous marriage. I am honest and straightforward with people and expect the same in return.
I am retired, financially secure, and looking for the same in a woman. I enjoy quiet times at home listening to music or watching a good movie. I usually take a bicycle ride or a walk in the park for exercise. I am not a big sports fan, but do enjoy watching games on TV. I don’t buy tickets to sporting events and contribute to the greed of college and professional sports. I don't smoke or drink, so I obviously avoid bars or large parties where this is the main focus. Normally, I avoid large social gatherings, preferring small get togethers. I have traveled in the past, and prefer short trips of 3 to 4 days. I am very much a creature of habit, and when I am out of my element, I become anxious. However, since retiring I enjoy traveling much more and this winter spent 5 weeks in Florida. I plan on more travel this summer, especially to various lakes to fish.
I am a very simple but analytical person, which means I rarely just go with the flow. I enjoy intelligent conversation, but am not easily swayed in my ideals. I will however, always listen too others opinions, and will ask questions to try to understand their feelings. I am a very plain and frugal person, always looking for the best value for the dollar. I do some fishing, woodworking, and home projects, but do not devote large amounts of time to these. Even though I am very self sufficient, I do feel the need for companionship because some things in life are better shared. It is enjoyable to have someone to share ideas, goals, and personal feelings with. I am interested in a woman who is understanding, caring, and kind.
