I am of two schools of thought here. One blueprint for a perfect first date would be dining (not merely eating out) at a fine restaurant .... dressed to make it an occasion, with fine wine, soft music, candlelight and, most important, a lovely companion with whom conversation flows easily. The other involves meeting for a quick beverage (coffee, soft drink, a nice wine) and just getting acquainted.
