Dating can be hard and dissapointing, but is essential for moving into relationships. And while we often may feel jadded, we need these experiences to provide guidance. I learnt a lot in my past relationships, about myself and about what I am looking for in a partner. And with each new person I meet I learn more about what I want and don't want.

I think a good friendship is important for a solid relationship, so starting out slow is ok. But too slow is pointless. If you can't chat and see each other on a regular basis then its impossible to get to know each other and move forward. And please, if you are still dealing with issues from past relationships and are not ready to be in something serious, dont waste my time. While I am not looking to get married or settle down immediately, I am not interested in casual/multiple dating. I prefer to explore one option at a time.

That being said time is precious to me now. I've gone back to school, full-time, to get my masters and continue to work, part-time, to pay my bills. But, where there is a will, there is a way - time is always found for those near and dear to me.

I have a variety of interests, from motorcycles, travel, scuba diving, exercising, music, books, movies, theatre, hockey, live comedy and fine dining. I am not looking for a clone of myself, but I would probably jive better with someone with similar interests.

A first meet or a first date? Because those are totally different in my mind! LOL.

First meet: Something short and simple. Coffee, drinks, a walk. A chance to talk in person and scoop each other out to see if there is anything worth pursuing.

First date: After mutual interest is established, something that will allow us to spend more time with each other enjoying our favourite activities and having fun.
