I have been off of here for a while but I decided to look again and have updated my profile.

Let me start with this -- I am looking for someone to date first and maybe that can become long term. You have to start on a friendly level first and just get to know somebody before you start trying to make it into a "relationship".

OK - now the "about me" part:
I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Very outgoing and personable. Enjoy doing the fun things in life and not willing to be bogged down by what the "shallow" people think. If you can't just let your hair down and kick back and not worry about what every single person is thinking about you -- then I'm probably not your guy.

I still enjoy playing baseball player in a local league. I realized long ago that I wasn't going to be in the major's, but I did make a couple of rookie teams in the minor leagues when I came out of HS. I really enjoy doing fun things like going to amusement parks and riding roller coasters and other types of thrilling stuff that you don't have to risk your life to do. I love places like Dave & Busters with lots of stuff to do that can be entertaining (ok-where you can be a kid again for a little while) and not just the same old boring stuff people do as they get older. But I also enjoy the one-on-one time in a quiet setting indoors or outdoors with that special someone.

I have been an amateur stand up comedian for about 15 years and have appeared at many local comedy clubs, and I can guarantee there will be lots of laughing no matter where we are. (Or lots of EYE-ROLLING if you have NO sense of humor) If you have no sense of humor or feel that sometimes being silly is not ok you should not hang out with me. I find it humorous at how OLD some people act. There is a lot to be said for laughter and while there are times when seriousness is mandatory, there are plenty of times when it is not. I love pets and animals, I used to have a dog and looking to get another when I have the right place. There is nothing more fun than laying on the living room floor just playing with your dog till your exhausted.

BEEN THERE - DONE THAT on the local bar scene including being a bouncer at several of the more popular places around town (American Pie, Baja Beach Club, various Buckhead locations, etc.) and not interested in anyone who still thinks that you have to go to a bar/niteclub every time you go out. Now I like to go out and have a good time just not into going clubbing 3 nights a week. I prefer to do other things as well that are interesting and fun - hey I still even like to go play putt-putt and have a good time with a little friendly competition. I like going to good restaurants that have an exciting atmosphere, especially those that serve a good margarita, but I never get drunk and never act stupid and I don't want to date someone who has to get buzzed or drunk to have fun. One maybe two and that's it. I am not interested in dating a drunk or a party girl.

I enjoy going somewhere to watch a game and hang-out with my friends, maybe shoot pool or play darts or trivia or whatever. I also enjoy going to Braves games and have excellent seats right next to the dugout. It's amazing how much different the game feels when your in a great spot.

So -- if your still young at heart and still active and like to stay in shape drop me an e-mail. You never know until you know. All e-mails or profiles have to include picture -- it's only fair and physical attraction is just as important as being a soulmate.

It could be just a simple meeting for 15 mins or it could be something like Martini's and IMAX at Fernbank. My favorite first date has always been something social that engages conversation between each other. Fernbank is a great place for this between the 4 star food and the 45min IMAX show, with the museum as a nice conversation starter. Anything that gives you an opportunity to have a conversation. I'm a huge sports fan but I don't incorporate that into the evening unless my date wants to as well.
I think it's more important at this time to find out who the real person is and not the "pretend" person most of us try to be at first.
